Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

I purchased a used 1.5 Lozic ecu to use on my 2019 stock(hks plugs) g70. Before purchasing ecu I asked if it would be ok to use on my stock car, and I was assured that it would be fine. I installed the ecu, and when taking off from a stop and going full throttle the car screams, and runs great.

When casually driving and rolling into the throttle at approximately 50% and up the car starts breaking up and bucking. I’ve been in contact with Lozic, sent videos, and logs, but problem continues.

I was told that my logs taken with obdfusion are too slow, and are not helpful. I don’t own a jb4, or any other diagnostic tool, scanner, or other logging devices.

Can anyone in the thread give me any reasonably priced recommendations for a device that can accurately log boost, RPM, and hpfp pressure? Really don’t want to spend lots of money on something to log, when the end result might be me having to seek(pay for) another tune.

Thank you to Lozic for working with me even though I’m not the original owner of the ecu. I would think that most likely it’s something in the parameters from the 2022 g70 came off that my old school 2019 does not agree with.

I normally don’t purchase used items like this, but took a chance.
Jb4 is your best bet. Try to find a used one on here or facebook. As for the breaking up you most likely have a bad plug or coil. Again hard to say without a proper log or code. How many miles does your car have?

I highly suggest the jb4 for logging. Doubles as your cpi or wmi controller too if you ever want to go further
Thanks for the info. I’ve heard great things about the jb4, but I would never be going past the ecu tune. I just want a little more scoot, not trying to be in the fast guy/girl club.

27k. Brand new HKS plugs. Put stock ecu back in and car runs perfect. Also asked dealer to check coils and they said all is good, but who knows. Can they check coils via there computers?

For curiosity does it only do it in sport mode?

So the ECU is from a 2022 G70 and you're using on a 2019 G70? Is the ECU hardware comaptible?

No. All modes. When i floor it from a stop and keep it floored it runs perfect, and is strong as hell. That with shifting manually, or letting it auto shift.

Yes, and Yes.
Sounds like a coil if its only happening at 50% throttle.

Dealer says they are fine. You know anyway to test them? You don’t think I would be having issue with stock ecu in car?
There assesment of fine is that its not throwing any codes. They didnt do anything special. They drove the car and seen no codes popped up and told you there okay.

To diagnose the coil, you can check it with a diagnostic tool and change the coil position.
If it's really bad, we'll display the code, but if not, you'll have to use the method above.
If you do not have a good log tool, a good solution is to use a diagnostic tool from a nearby repair shop.
Ah, I just remembered it. The information in the app "Car scanner" was good.

Thanks

Will try the car scanner app. I’m not a tuner, but it seems there may be parameters that were set/needed for the 2022 car, that my don’t work with my 2019.

Drivetrain and fueling wise, are the 2019’s and 2022’s the same? I know big differences exterior wise.

Anyone in the Virginia area interested in a free 1.5bar Lozic ecu, pm me. It would have to be sent back to Lozic to be vin matched to your car(at a cost). Also I would recommend it being used on a 2022 g70, as that was the last vehicle it functioned on properly. Or try to get a clear answer as to if it works with your car. I’ve gotten mixed answers from Lozic as to whether or not the 2022 tune is compatible with my 2019 g70.

Lee seems like a very nice person, and passionate about his work, however the language barrier kind of causes a problem.

Once again Lee, thanks for your time and efforts, as I’m not the original purchaser of this ecu.
