Custom Drive mode ... AWD settings???

the reply from Kia for the custom awd settings are as follows.

“Comfort: 40FR/60RR The front bias ranges from 10% to 50% depending on driving conditions, but primarily tries to stay around 40% front

ECO: 40FR/60RR The front bias ranges from 10% to 50% depending on driving conditions, but primarily tries to stay around 40% front

Sport: 20FR/80RR The front bias ranges from 5% to 50% depending on driving condition, but primarily tries to stay around 20”

Admins, please close this thread... the point was to confirm the settings... which I confirmed with Kia.

That 50% comfort is the first I have heard.

Came from a KIA employee, but never seen published.

They are maximums, so it really makes no difference whatsoever.

I am grateful that you did some work and got an answer to the question that I have wondered about. The fact that some people that don't understand that you are refering to AWD only....in CUSTOM mode ONLY.....is somewhat frustrating. Once again, thanks for reaching out to Kia and getting an answer.

Just got the first snowfall and was also wondering about the custom AWD setting. Cuz if eco was 50-50 split vs normal 60-40 it would still help when driving in slippery conditions. Bit they don’t make it clear

ECO has a second advantage of duller throttle response, which is good for winter driving. The front rear split is dynamic enough that it should be OK in any mode. The AWD system works brilliantly and seamlessly in very slippery conditions. Pay most attention to the quality of your tires rather than the AWD mode
