Hi all. Still new to the Stinger can I run 46 offset for winter rims front and back with 225 40 19?

Not without spacers. I had a set of 8.5 ET48 enkeis that jammed against the shocks, needed 20mm spacers to run them, such a PITA I decided to sell them.
My 8.0 ET40 niches rub the calipers and need 5mm spacers to run. The interference was on the front only BTW. All were with 225 tires.

When I had 18" steelies, with 42 offset, there was more than 4mm clearance to the shock - close to 10mm clearance in my estimation.

If your rims are shaped to clear the calipers, 46 offset with 225/40 (or 45) can fit without interference. But I doubt your specific 46 offset rims will be shaped to clear the front calipers.

See here, about 10mm clearance to shock, with 42 offset rims 225/45/18 on 7.5" steel wheels.

Just because a wheel might fit okay doesn't mean it will work right.

Even if they do clear suspension components, a 46mm offset being 12mm off from the stock 34mm, your front wheels will have 12mm more negative scrub radius, which is not insignificant. For the same reason too much positive scrub radius (too low offset) will affect handling and braking stability, so does too much negative scrub radius (too high offset).

Because Winter tires/wheels are - by their very nature - much more likely to encounter compromised traction and slippery road conditions, the effects of a sub-optimal scrub radius will be more likely to be amplified and possibly get the driver in trouble.

As always, it's your wheels on your own car, so you will have to work out your own risk tolerance.

Thanks all. I am just asking question. Those who answered nicely. Thanks so much. I am learning.
