You're really trying to tell us that you didn't enjoy Mollusk Contests enough that you wouldn't jam out to it's renowned soundtrack artist in perpetuity?!

I still want manual day/night control!!!!!!!!

I still have the original state (no upgrades ever) on my 2018 Canada base 3.3 gt. I am happy with everything. Is there any upgrades that I should consider?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I am pretty sure , NOBODY uses the sounds of nature ambient sounds on purpose.
There, FTFY. It's actually a pain to turn them off if you accidentally turn them on.

Wish that guy on Fbook claiming this update was going to bring wireless carplay/AA was right. But pretty much no one thought he was right about that.

October update out. I expect this will get pulled in about a week and rereleased several weeks later.

yes. I will wait.

You know I didn’t give it a chance! Maybe I will listen today lol

Lol. Been there, done that. None of the new features are appealing. We'll find out in the coming days what's broken/fixed. I think im still on last year's spring or fall update.
I updated the gt1 almost a year and a half ago. the premium still has the 2019 version, fall I presume, since that was when the 3 year lease ended of the original owner. I have no intention of fiddling with an update for either at this point.

The only benefit of the update (aside from the broken/fixed/broken features), is the actual map data. Too bad one can't update the data without the firmware.

^^^exactly this. I only want the latest maps, nothing else. I would have kept the original interface over anything since, like I still have in the 2019 premium, if only I could have updated the maps.

@Snicklefritz When I used to flash phone firmware, it was possible to flash specific firmware components only... IE,the baseband (modem/radio), system (OS). Perhaps the same is possible here since it is android based. There's a number of components (files) that make up the firmware payload.

mostly I don't even understand what you just said. are you saying that we could possibly do the sd card download, then eliminate the files we don't want somehow and just update the maps files?

I didn't realize you had the old system (importance of your your year/model/trim in sig!!). I'm not sure what files comprise the sd card update. For 2022+ it's a bunch of zips on a flash drive that get installed to the unit.

I think the navi* files is the map data as that's the larger component. Someone more familiar with android firmware layout would need to chime in on how to do this.

Ima definitely interested in having it explained to us if it is possible to extract the maps and leave the rest.

On road trips we used to play the rain water sounds if someone had to go to the bathroom. Which was funny until I realized how risky that could be.
