You always could, you just noticed now.

Useless feature, but a feature none the less

Mine has never had that option until now. I was looking through a lot of the screens before I updated and it was def Not there. Now it is.

Odd, Mine has had the voice memo feature since 2018 (original firmware).

Useless feature IMO

Oh...Canada!

I upgraded last night. No gremlins so far with about 5 hours of driving time on it. The default KIA nav app is terrible for searching for addresses. I try typing in an address that has been there for 30+ years and I get the "No results found" message. Then I enter the address in Apple Maps and it pops right up. The KIA map data is clearly there, it just doesn't want to search it for some reason. This was before the update also.
Update: The GPS position tracker went haywire again twice yesterday. It still maintains route guidance and turn prompts, but beeps constantly as the cursor zooms across the terrain. If I switch media modes, it usually will stop. Something isn't right with it.

So I had been battling issues with the May 17th Nav update that also updates the audio system on my 2022 GT2.

Turns out that a full system reset is required before attempting to install.
Something about a corrupt file.

Now that it’s installed, I’ve noticed a few undesirable changes and I’m wondering if I’ve done something wrong or if we’re stuck with it:

1. Prior to the update my iPhone would automatically connect to my Bluetooth wireless CarPlay dongle. Without any changes to the phone and after re-establishing connectivity with the car via USB cord, I now need to first connect to the card with a cord each time I start the car before input from the dongle will be accepted.

2. When in CarPlay and a camera view comes up on the screen (shift to reverse, approach an obstacle, or push the button), when the camera view ends the screen does not return to CarPlay, instead reverting to the home page.

Not big issues, but frustrating and frequent.

Thoughts?

I've updated the nav twice now (maybe 3x?). Did not have to do any fulls system resets to get it to take.

As for not updating. Smart idea. The streets around this ghetto are relatively unchanged and still as broken as ever. I still miss the manual day/night adjustment they took away with the fall 2021 (?) update.

October update out. I expect this will get pulled in about a week and rereleased several weeks later.

As usual. Lol

Lol. Been there, done that. None of the new features are appealing. We'll find out in the coming days what's broken/fixed. I think im still on last year's spring or fall update.

I’m still fighting the issues I mentioned.

Neither my dealership nor Kia seem to have any idea.

Is this like, a feature Stinger drivers want?

Do we really want the windows to automatically go up when we drive through a tunnel?

Same with the "sounds of nature rev #3"

Who uses this?

Instead of reintroducing a decent 3D view, with a horizon, we get this new sounds of nature trash.
These people, working in the software department, are complete morons.

FYI: If you have a 2018-2021 stinger, I think this is just a map update. At least I don't notice anything different. No new sounds of nature, and no new window options.

It's only the widescreen infotainment that is getting the new features (which is fine with me!).

The last 3 updates have been useless for the most part. They need to listen to their users, not pull these ideas out of their @ss.

Nice. Been waiting for Jung Jae-il's new EP to be perpetually available on my vehicle.
I dont know about you guys, but I'm glad this is what my dollars are going towards.

I totally enjoyed Squid game, but...

I have been waiting with baited breath for this day to finally arrive. I have the same emotions flowing through me as when they first added the original "sounds of nature" soundtrack to my car. /s
