You actually can run the JB4 off the diag port under the Hood. I've been doing it for a year now. Just gotta pin the right ports. Number 11 and 8 I think off the top of my head. The OBD2 connector is the same thing, just 2 pins going to the JB4 connector. the 3rd wire is a ground I am fairly certain, as it doesn't seem to effect anything on my car by not having it connected.

I got some thin wire, stripped it, put it in the right ports, put the wire in a quick disconnect connector, and thats it. it just works. I havent bothered trying to find a connector that was compatible, though I suppose I could.

Unfortunately this does not work.
I ohmed out the adapter, and of the 6 pins that appear to be populated in the under hood obd connector, only two have continuity, and neither are to the pins the jb4 requires.
So I’m still searching for the correct pins to use in the under hood connector.
