Tire Fitment: 245/35/20 & 285/30/20

Have there been any issues of shops installing those size tires? I had 235/19 & 265/19 on a 01 330ci and had to take them to specific NTB shops.

There can be, my local Discount Tire had no issues with it though. Give your shop a call to confirm.

Make sure you specify that you've got 19x8.0 and 19x8.5 wheels and would like to put 245 and 275 tires on them, and that it is the MAX size for the width.

I wanted to keep the stock wheels so was a bit limited on my tire options but, went with Bridgestone Potenza Sports; front 235/35/19 rear 275/30/19. I love the rears. Would have preferred 245 in the front but America's Tire wouldn't do it. I also just installed GRBS Coilovers. I might add some small spacers just to fit the wheels the rest of they way? Not sure yet.
you have a pic of how it looks? I am currently on 235/40/19 front, 275/35/19 rear but seriously considering 255/35/19 front, 285/30/19 rears I have Rohana RFX11 8.5" +32 front and 9.5" +40 rear. To be at stock height I need to be on 295/30/19 rear, 265/35/19 front which will not fit my current wheels without the tire bulging out. Not a look I'm ok with.

Looks sweet. But you’re on 20’s. I’m attempting to widen the tires while remaining at stock height with 19’s.

I see. I was trying to stick with 19's back when I had to replace my tires but gave up because wide 19in options were a bit more Iimiting. So I gave up lol.

I’m on F: 19 x 8.5 & R: 19 x 9.5, 19 x 10 also should fit OK with the correct offset.
As for tyre size I was thinking of going up to 245/40/19 & 275/35/19 but my tyre shop was a lititle concerned that the increase of height up front my rub or scrape, so I played it safe & went the same, to be honest the ride quality never changed from OE sizes & I’m running Falken FK510 on the lighter weight semi-forged Koya’s.
The Avant Garde in the right colour would look really nice.

Just to add here is a side shot of the stance, remembering I’m at OE height.

Can you clarify your set up here? Are you saying this is stock height with 245/35/19 fronts and 285/30/19 rear? My rear tire is showing threads so I have to pull the trigger on some tires tomorrow morning. I am currently on 235/40/19 and 275/35/19 on Eibach's. I am considering 265/35/19 front and 285/30/19 rear. (maybe 295/30/19 rear) which will be spot on to stock tire height. I have confirmed the 265 will fit the 8.5" rim. The 9.5" rim max recommended tire is 285. If I go with a 295, the sidewall will bulge slightly. I saw that it fits on a Porsche forum as someone did the same set up of 265/35/19 and 295/30/19 but the 295 was bulging slightly and I am not certain I want that. I'd rather stick to the 285 if there isn't too much of a wheel gap.

To clarify I’m at stock height with 245/35/19 et: 32 & 275/30/19 et: 38

gottcha. thanks for the quick reply. FYI, 255/35/19 and 285/30/19 is closer to stock tire height. To be spot on, the rear has to be a 295/30/19. Ride looks sweet.

Nice, so you have no rubbing? Post up some pictures.

Thanks for your help. Got the tires. Just washed it 255/35/19 x8.5” +35 front and 285/30/19 x9.5” +40 rear. Running 45psi per my alignment guy due to inside wear of my last tires. I haven’t had the springs but a month and hadn’t gotten alignment. These will be aligned on Saturday.
Hers a few pics until I can get some daytime shots. Included top shots so you can see they’re tucked but almost flush. Not sure why pics are uploading sideways. Will be going up to 29530 when these wear out in 6 months from peeling out and drifting around turns. 9C287852-4FB2-4693-8CB6-2C2ABED514FB.webpBA994F3C-35AF-40FB-9D6D-737BE32A0E1C.webp4F3B4000-9E94-4BF4-B43C-ABE8FABACC82.webp4AFD4F69-4DF5-4486-92C4-235DA7AF2736.webp684B9057-0578-42C0-8D99-D6EC2131253B.webp

I want to possibly do the same, but I think I got lost in all the different setups, LOL! I guess what I am looking for is the best setup, on OEM 19" wheels, if I am looking to go a bit wider AND not be an issue for a tire shop. I think I am hearing 245/40 front, 275/35 rear is that setup. Is that correct?

I believe the max width for the OEM stock 19 wheels are 245 front, 255 rear.

If this is the case, might as well go oem to avoid any headaches and upgrade if I decide to change my wheels later! Now to add to the fun, any recommendations on tires to replace the pilot sports?

I went with Falken Azenis FK510 tires. Cheaper than the Pilot Sports and they perform wonderfully. Good in the rain as well.

Max you can run on OEM 19's is 245s front and 275 rears (but confirm with your tire shop that they are ok with installing on a 8.5" wheel).

245/40/19 and 275/35/19 to maintain speedo (it'll still be a bit off - going 65 mph on speedo, you'll actually be going 64 mph).

Not sure why pics are uploading sideways.
The software update on the site did that, apparently, since this started then. Resize the pics and upload them again.
