They make universal drop in filters that fit many different applications. The stinger is one of many.

They are $49.99 each on AMAZON.

Not cone filter. Drop in square replacement.just talked to kn they do not make oem replacement for stinger yet
Sorry, misunderstood you .

Paul I couldn't hear it on your video, but on mine I also get a high pitch whin when I get on it is that normal
That's probably the turbo spooling. From the outside you can hear it better, inside the cabin the turbo spool you hear less but the psshhhh when you let off the gas sounds really nice! :)

Amazon is so funny there are so many products on Amazon listed to fit and they dont. Have you tried with drop in filter from Amazon to confirm fitment? I'm pretty sure K&N hasnt come out with a drop in filter for the Stinger yet, pretty sure the 2.0T and 3.3T take different filters too but I could be wrong

EDIT:

A drop in filter is completely different than a cone filter. Not sure if you were getting the two confused?

When is website going up?
I'm hoping to get out main products up this weekend to have thee website live next week. The website framework is finished though! :)

I told my father I was going to put a intake on my car and he replied " didn't it come with one ?"

A couple things from my install today

1) Pay attention to the direction the BOV hoses go before taking them off. I wasn’t paying attention when taking off the driver side and had to spend a few min figuring it out when putting it back on.

2) I had to trim the drivers side BOV hose, it was too long after installing the intake and caused it to kink. I ended up taking about an inch off.

3) I had to buy an additional hose clamp for the upper hose that attaches to the plastic nipple on the intake. The spring clamp wasn’t tight enough.

4) The silver strut braces actually sit on top of the divider. Everything fits just wasn’t expecting it to be in contact.

5) I didn’t have any oil pooled up on the turbo like someone else posted. I only have 1100 miles.

6) There are 5 different hose clamps so pay attention to the directions on which ones go where.

7) With that said, don’t pay attention to the directions on the order of removing hoses. Just know which ones to remove and remove the ones you can get to easiest at the time. Getting the air boxes out first gives a bunch more room.

More rapid throttle response?

how do you like the sound when you get on it

It’s good, definitely can hear what’s going on with the turbo. At low RPMs it sounds like the car is venting consistently, almost to the point of having a leak. It’s been raining all day and as soon as I finished friends came over to go to dinner so I didn’t get a chance much to test it. Did check all the connections and they seemed good.

More rapid throttle response?

Again haven’t had much time to test this. I’ll have time tomorrow.

I'm the one that had a sm pool of oil and the videos sent to Paul for use.

On your install #3 I just used my pliers to bend the stock clamp out more to make it fight tighter and worked fine. No issues with it being lose. I didn't have to cut hose off to fit, I think that's the one I flipped upside down and has a small kink but nothing that made me want to cut hose, maybe some fell better doing it. I followed the instructions and had no issues. The passenger side tubing is a bit harder to fit in but nothing difficult vs the driver side.

I see some saying they had small issues with clamps or hoses but I had next to no issues on mine for some reason. The one stock clamp I had to stretch it out a bit to make it tighter on the plastic adaptor off the driver tubing but other than that no issues.

I definitely didn't get this just/mostly for horsepower but for the sound and looks when popping the hood. If I get 5hp or the 9hp then that's a bonus to me. I know everyone is different but that my feelings on CAI. I also prefer the K&N with the heat shield which is debatable in itself but I like it and opinion is it gets less heat(not a huge difference) than just filter opened up but that's my opinion and I know 50% will disagree but that's OK. You do you and I do me, lol. Nonetheless I love the K&N performance, looks, sound and well worth the money. I got mine at K5 Optima store as they had great pricing and they have always supported the K5 community and now the K8. If in doubt get it and then try the: Keep The Grin Off Your Face Challenge......

the hp claim from k&n is true, like was posted here before, but, to really see gains, you need to mod the engine. years back, that was headers, carbs, intake, cams, etc. then you saw real gains. you could just remove the filters completely, and wrap some cheese cloth over the inlets and it would be the same.
as for the oil fouling the air sensor, it states to not oversaturate the filter. now, how do you check? when i was young, it was lay a tissue on the filter after you oiled it, it comes away with anything but the barest hint of oil, the you oversaturated the filter.
and i also had posted on another thread that i would love to have a sealed box for the filters, example a ram air setup, that brings the colder outside air. my experience with them recently was on my v70r volvo, mods i made were relocating the battery to the back and using an airbox from an yamaha R1 that had a water bypass.
