I had my teenage son, with smaller hands, help me with the drivers side. The passenger side wasn't a walk in the park but If I remember correctly taking out the air intake helped.
The box i did take off for both sides as that takes less than 10 minutes. The driver side was not too bad. I just didnt have much room on the passenger side to be able to pull down on the clip. I think my hand relatively skinny but that was something else.
Update on this. These EWG wires are a bitch to remove. Specifically on the passenger side. That might be harder then removing the coil pack on cylinder 3. I thought i would be able to install this in an hour. Man I was wrong. Probably will attempt this again on Saturday.
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that contributed tips. I read this entire thread and just just swapped my plugs for the first time and it was easy! It took me 55 min with the double swivel and magnetic sockets. Stock bolts went back in easy to the same spots they came out of. Thanks!!!!
I thing I may have broke something in the boot of my coil or maybe I can examine and reassemble it. I didn't think to look at it more closely but moving number three coil to other cylinder moves the misfire. So far no coils in kia or parts stores in eastern Washington. I'm hoping a last minute hail Mary will find something to Pop together in the boot.

Hit up Albert Hwang on Facebook. He’s an Oem parts dealer in Korea. I just bought 6 new coil packs for $355 shipped, got to me in 5 days from all the way in Korea.
A few things to share regarding my plug change today:
Getting the clip loose and the connector off of #3 coil was a pain. What worked for me was pulling the coil up enough to get better access to the connector. Easy then.
Some dielectric grease on the tip area of the coil made pushing it into the hole easier.
Having a magnet made dealing with the coil bolts easier
I finally got to doing my first plug change on the Stinger tonight. I got all 6 HKS plugs installed, but not without difficulty. I was going at a decent pace until attempting to get the last coil out (dreaded middle passenger side under manifold one) and it came apart leaving the spring and lower boot in the hole attached to the plug.
I probably should have just made a post here, but decided to just remove the intake manifold as I spent a lot of time trying to get the coil pack back together in that tight space and just couldn’t get it. I also wanted to have the room to do the actual install of the spark plug in that space without any incident so that also influenced my decision to remove the intake.
What a pain in the ass that was, and I don’t get how some of you guys removed the intake within 30 minutes. It took me like an hour and a half most of it trying to figure out how to slide the cold side pipe out of the silicone elbow going into the throttle body.
I’m glad I did the work myself, but I’m beat to hell after that. That was by far the worst plug change I’ve done and I had a ls1 f-body with the back third of the engine sitting under the cowl.

Lol for sure. I’m kicking myself for removing the manifold now that I saw how easy it was to remove the rest of the coil pack that got left in the hole after separating. I should have just kept at it a little bit more and it wouldn’t have been too bad honestly.

Very true. Always good to know more about any car you modify and it will make things like adding the plenum spacer if I decide to run meth one day and then the plug changes will be really easy.

Just the information I needed. I started to get stuttering under above-normal acceleration yesterday evening (happened again today) and the stories of the dealership nightmares when it comes to coil packs has me in the state of mind to just pay for them myself.
I replied on another thread about radio issues related to the coil packs, and I asked how much all six coil packs would cost. Now I can answer that. So, thank you.
(now I have to go back and see what else is in this long thread)

Hi man, I think I am in the same situation as you. How can you know the problem is due to the spark plug or coil? I am try to located where the problem is

I’m about to swap my plugs and the one under the intake it the in’s Ind that I’m worried about at this point. When the pieces of the coil pack separated how would you have removed the port in the hole without removing the manifold. Hoping I don’t need to do that.
