RaceChip unleashes true potential of the Kia Stinger GT (and future GTR)

I know you can not promise any official numbers, but as a tuner, what do you think would be possible with this engine without sacrificing reliability?

Also, I know you are looking to provide a tune for stock vehicles, but I believe exhausts will be a very common modification, if only because the stock exhaust has no soul - so with a reasonable flow, how much further do you THINK you might be able to go?
From what I've read on the internals they're all forged. Which should mean a pretty hardy power output on the stock bottom end. Honestly, your real issue will be heat output. I'm pretty confident 500-525HP could be done reliably if you upgrade the intercooler and radiator. I really don't know how much the stock components could really handle heat wise. But if you're just doing exhaust and intake that'll be a non-factor really. The real issue will come with chip tunes increasing boost output and if the intercooler and radiator can keep up with the heat output. It's one of those yet to be seen sort of things. But I don't see a 2-3PSI boost really hurting to much unless you're hard on the motor.

Most of what I'm saying is really all an educated guess. As the old saying goes, you pay to play.

Too bad they don't think the 2.0 is worth investing the time and $ to develop a chip for us non-GT Stinger owners...:(

Racechip mentioned that they are waiting to see how demand is for the 3.3 to see if they are willing to invest further into the 2.0. Hoping for the best. I am seriously considering purchasing the GTS black. They seemed to have a favorable return policy. 30 days should be long to figure out if I want to keep it or not.

Well in that case, start buying, all you GT owners! Your 2.0 little siblings are counting on You! :p:D:rofl:

Keep us posted, and be sure to let us know if you performed any other mods alongside the chip, i.e., upgraded plugs, OCC, etc. :)
I will be getting a oil catch can very soon as well but that is it for now.

I wonder why theirs would work with stock plugs and LAP3s won't.

Are you going to do a before/after dyno by chance?

Maybe later on this summer i just dont have the free time from work atm. Its a chip so it can be easily removed.

The LAP3 chip is designed to be an all-things-to-all-engines kinda thing with much less technical talent, ability, and effort behind it, would be my quick take.
