I don’t see how. I mean i suppose its possible, but every single trim piece replaced? Thats allot of work to simply sell the car 20k miles laterInterior swap?
A few years back I spent 3 years on recruiting duty for the Marine Corps
When looking at a new Highlander for the wife a few years back, the Toyota salesman did not even know what trims they came in.According to the VIN # it is a GT1 so thats peculiar. FYI, i bought it at a Mercedes dealership. The salesman was clueless and didn't even know it was a TT v6.
I'm not offended by your posts. I just really dislike Kia salesmen because the ones I've met are always clueless about the products they sell. It's not a personal dislike, it's a professional one. Kia salesmen need to take their jobs more seriously and spend some time learning about their products - it is, after all their job.
Imagine someone is on a house hunt and their realtor doesn't know how many bedrooms a house they're viewing has so they just make something up in hopes that the buyer won't know any better. That's bad business. I've had quite a few experiences with Kia salesmen trying to sell me a dream by making up random shit, completely oblivious that they were talking to someone who knows how to research a product. But that's how Kia salesmen do their jobs - they say whatever they think will put a butt in a seat, with no regard for the truth.
That will never happen. When I don't know something I just say "I don't know" or maybe "standby while I find out for you." I don't pretend to have knowledge to impart onto others and cross my fingers that they won't realize I don't know what I'm talking about.
A few years back I spent 3 years on recruiting duty for the Marine Corps - I was essentially a salesman, my product was military service. I know a little bit about selling a product and the best way to avoid embarrassing situations where someone asks a question and you give an erroneous answer is to dive head first into whatever you're selling and if you don't have an answer be honest and explain that you'll find out and let em know. Kia salesmen remind me of the Army recruiters that worked next door to us. They were just straight up liars who would tell applicants any manner of bullshit to try to convince them to sign on the dotted line.
It's cool that you want to help, but I think your time here would be better spent absorbing information instead of providing it. That intro post should have said "hey y'all, I'm new to Stingers and looking forward to learning from you all so I can use that knowledge to help me in my job as a Kia salesman" not "I own a GT4.5 and I'm here to teach y'all tips and tricks."
I won't say anything else on the matter because I have a bad habit of ruining threads. Go ahead and reply, I'll read your thoughts and give you a courtesy thumbs up to let you know it's been received.
Good luck.
Well there you go, "fake it till you make it" training is typically only offered to officers.
Little joke for MCAS, USAF, and NAS: What's the difference between an F35 jet and an F35 piliot .... the jet has a button that makes it stop whining!"
Its forsure a GT1. The VIN sais so & everything matches up. Might just be an odd combo. I know the red on red combo is somewhat of a rarity over here.I think that's just a Gt1, given the shifter, no HUD, no cooled seats, etc. I dont think its a gt otherwise he wouldn't have the big gauge cluster screen
Thank you for your service. Not a service member, but I work at an MCAS.Funny you say that. I spent my last few years at MCAS Cherry Point and since I was the COMSEC manager for the base they put me on the General's staff. So I got to spend plenty of time being one of the few SNCOs surrounded by a bunch of big headed nerdy communications officers. Still better than recruiting duty though.

I will say though, I would rather communicate with a PFC vs a Lance Corporal. The PFC knows they know nothing about nothing, and it will be their mission in life to relay to the right person... the LC however thinks they have enough knowledge to be helpful. That's great Timmy ... now is your Mommy or Daddy home?![]()
In the same boat. I went to two dealerships. First dealership was just to test drive one and the second one in which I found the one I wanted the sales guy was a young kid 19 couldn’t tell me anything about the car. If i could change one thing about Kia as a whole like some ppl mentioned is the dealership experience. Like @Kamauxx stated know your product and if you don’t go dig and do some research. Don’t just say stuff to make ppl sign. It’s not like a quick buy but expensive purchases that are being made. But at the end of the day some ppl are only there to get a check and that’s the world we live in.I can kinda get the bad rep Kia salesmen get. I went to 3 different dealerships when I was shopping. The first one I took a test drive at and the salesmen was more interested in looking at NFT's on his cell phone then he was in making a sale. It wasn't until I put the car in sport mode and gunned it around the corner when he decided to pay attention. The second dealership, the salesman I spoke to knew his stuff and also assisted with helping me find the exact Stinger I was looking for and checked inventory along the entire eastern seaboard. I was honestly disappointed to NOT be able to buy from them. The third was under the same owner as the first, was a brand new dealership, and was understaffed (but they had the exact car I wanted). Didn't really interact much with the sales guy since they were understaffed and also because I mentioned I was willing to order to get the exact car I wanted (which wasn't honest but then again when are dealers?) so they instantly brought in a manager to negotiate.
For now, I get my car serviced at the 2nd dealership I went to. They seemed to be at least proactive in their checks (actually checked the operation of the brakes on my first visit with all the complaints of "warped rotors"). Didn't get a chance to speak with the service manager though as he was on vacation.
I do sales for a nationwide gym with cheap memberships and I spend more time with my prospective members than car salesmen did with me..In the same boat. I went to two dealerships. Even more so on the flagship car. Good chance you can get away with it with the customers buying the base model Forte or Sportage; GT trims of the Stinger not so much.In the same boat. I can appreciate honesty but not winging it because it’s the top tier car and I think that’s what sales ppl tend to think. Top tier car for the brand so not much needs to be said. I knew the car had the same base power as the q50 red sport but i just wanted to test drive one and get the feel. You think the dealership experience will change since it looks like a lot more ppl are purchasing the gt trims?Even more so on the flagship car. The salesman I got when I bought mine was a 19yr old kid that did not know too much, but I already did my research, and if he did not know a question he stated such instead of trying to B.S. it.
Respect sir. Need more ppl like you. And this is not only for cars. It goes for any profession we are in. You don’t want to be average but at least proficient and competent at your job. Point case I had no prior fire experience before joining the fire department. I did my research and discovered it would be something I like since I like to workout and need a job that’s active and not sitting at a desk all day. I struggled my first year being a firefighter due to the amount of info and details we had to know. Three years laters after putting in some work and the extra effort I’m pretty competent and proficient at my job and enjoy it. Goes to show you ppl don’t want to put in the work and that what separates average from good employees. When you put the work in it’s a easy day in the office or field everyday.I do sales for a nationwide gym with cheap memberships and I spend more time with my prospective members than car salesmen did with me..
That's one dirty camera lens
I mean you're not wrong. That was pretty much the goal. We all know its the army that dies for the oil companies, not the marines.
