New Intake

I'm pretty interested in getting these at some point. Didn't even think about them taking up a bit more room and catch cans. Don't have either yet but was looking to order a catch can soon. I noticed Mishimoto has separate one for the 2022+. Was debating between the ADD and Mishi although can't imagine there's that much of a difference between the two.

Anyways, looking forward to reports of more installs!

Strange, I wonder if anything is different about model year 2022 and up. I have a 2022 and I ordered my Mishi OCC from the K8 Stinger store. K8 didn't specify the model year.

I think the one on k8 is the 2018-2021. Looks like the 2022 kit includes 1 or 2 extra bits to accommodate the missing stud on the strut tower. It includes what looks almost like an offset double ended stud. You'll see it in the pic at the bottom left along with an extra nut. Also costs like $10 more

Can confirm the AFE intake fits fine with the Johnny Tig intercooler piping. It's cozy on the passenger side, but everything fits.

Left the plugs out, just for giggles. Was surprised that the IATs were within a couple of degrees whether sitting in the fast food line or cruising down the street.
Could you post a picture? I have a 3 inch charge pipe with my FMIC and ibelieve its similar to the Johnny Tig. I've also attached a pic of how mine is situated for a reference. Think itll fit?

Now is the time to purchase. they are doing their 4th of July sale!!! $444 shipped!! thats down $81 from $525 (w/coupon code) yesterday!

I'm really interested in this intake system. What are y'alls thoughts on dry vs oiled? Not quite sure which route to go.

Would it be a waste of money to couple the velossa big mouth snorkel with this intake?

We have tested here in Sweden with stock boxes and KN compared to open filters. With a tuned ECU or JB it differs by 10 whp... and with larger pipes between stock boxes and turbo intake no difference just that the intake air will be cooler and to prefer in slower driving and also a gain of up to 10 whp i higher speeds with stock as it will take cool air and can be some pressurized by front snorkels.

So if you want it quiet, keep stock boxes and also if you want to take some few extra power also keep them with snorkels and bigger pipe between turbos and boxes.

Oiled flows air a little better but cleaning is a bit more involved because you'll have to re-oil the filter. Dry filters are easier to clean. Ram air ducts are a must for these as well as any intakes for the Stinger.

Agree

I can also add that stock BOVs with re-circulation is better than an single open one as it takes air back to turbo intake... but of course it sounds heavy and people like it, in most cases by younger drivers...
