Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Sounds good. No biggie since I need to send back for boost ready change anyways. But damn even the 1.2 in comfort is fast!
Yeah for DD 1.2 is perfect for me.

I literally only used sport 1.3 on launches and very swift pulls merging on highway.

Does anyone have boost ready set at 3,000rpm?
Not that I know of.

But judging by your liking, I would just turn boost ready completely off and go boost by mode imo.

Its definitely a preference.

I think you are right! I do like the idea of 3,000 for roll race. But that does not happen often anyways.

What does "boost by mode
I have boost by mode D, which is eco/comfort set to 1.2 and sport set to 1.3 bar.
Ah, ok. That's pretty nice. How much customization is possible? A different setting for smart, eco, comfort and sport?

Alot of customizing by Lozic. He keeps adding more and more lol

IIRC, he had about 4 options ranging from A-D on boost by mode.

Above you can see pearlys chart on the options to choose from.

I forget, were you a JB4 map 2 guy before? You only have 91oct available? Was wondering your opinion of the comparison of 1.2bar lozic to the JB4 maps.

Yes I always was in map2 with the Jb4. 91 octane is correct. The 1.2 bar in Comfort mode is definitely faster than Jb4 map2 to me (butt dyno) map2 peaked at more psi but still feels slower..I can do some actual runs to be sure. Especially right after shifts- feels you are in boost sooner.

Good to hear! I'm on map2 currently, however, I had to mix in some E85 just to run that map. I was getting up to 9 degrees of timing correction trying to run map2 with my 91 here. I'm worried that I won't be able to get a lozic tune that produces any real power because I don't want to ALWAYS have to run an E30 blend and only the JB4 will allow me to do both on the fly.

Lozic can tune it for lower octane. Just let him
Know it’s crappy 91. Or even say 89 to be safe.

Well yeah, I know he's able to make a tune for whatever I want. I guess my question is, would it even be worth it? Arguably the car would be faster for me to throw in some E85 with the JB4 and run map 2 or 3 versus having an ECU that's permanently tuned for a low octane.

I could bite the bullet and just get an E30 tune from Lozic but there's only one gas station (within a convenient distance) that has E85 and I worry about if that gas station went away or say I wanted to take the car on a road trip... I'd be screwed.

Slip would be the man to talk to on this. But the tune can adapt and run more power if it has better octane. I am sure he can chime in to explain it better.

Doesn't sound like an ecu tune is really worth it for you unless you plan to run meth as well, which would significantly boost the octane rating of your fuel, at the cost of having to refill the meth tank every so often, and even then you already have the JB4 so it makes sense to stick to that platform.

Yeah... that's what I'm thinking as well. Unless what @Pearly is talking about is true, then I can get a 1.3bar tune from Lozic and occasionally throw in some E85 to get some extra power when I want it. Just not sure how quickly/well the ECU would be able to adapt to the extra fuel quality and if that would ultimately be hard on the motor/ecu switching back and forth.

Ideally one day, Lozic could create some sort of ability to switch between maps! But that will come after our cars ECUs are fully unlocked..

Im sure Lozic could make something work for you for sure if you really wanted it, and the 1.3 bar would probably be fine on your 91, I would not worry about being too hard on the motor, as someone who is on their second one due to circumstances that literally kia could not even figure out, They are built pretty well. The ECU learns fuel over time, so it would probably take 50 so miles of driving to go back from an E mix to no mix, but I wouldent worry about that. I would stick to your JB4 and occasional e85 mixing for now because of your fuel situation, then eventually run meth and not worry about fuel issues every again.

Alright full day of testing.. I never moved to sport (1.4bar) because the comfort (1.2) bar was peaking at 20psi and holding 18.5 to 19. I honestly thought that would be where 1.4 would be… thoughts?

Also timing on 2-6 is not awesome

1.4bar should equate to 20psi.. so yeah you're getting some extra boost from comfort it would seem. I do think the ECU will continue to adjust as you drive as many on here have seemed to report. Do you have any logs to post?
