Happen to find the hot wheels blue stinger at a local dollar store by random. Had only one stinger left, faith.

I closed my eyes as I picked it up and thought of MerlintheMad placing it on my windshield while me absent from my stinger.

Good color combo, but if I am honest I think the canards should be blacked out but the rest in red are awesome.

New pads and rotors on all 4 corners, motul brake fluid, and installed ATQ subframe collars

What rotors and pads did you go with ? I heard the girodisc magic pads are awesome. Let me know if you feel any difference with the atq subframe collars installed. Such a small part does wonders is what I read on it and reviews. Was it time to switch out pads and rotors for you ? Just curious

Pads: Front: Girodisk Magic Pads Rear: Posi quite
Rotors: R1 "carbon" blank rotors (which are really Dynamic Friction regular geomet rotors)

At 8k miles I started getting pedal vibration from the stock brakes, so I opted to truly fix the problem vs having KIA warranty me a new set of pads/rotors that will ultimately have the same problem.

Only had everything on for 3 days now.
I took a couple higher speed turns and the "highly calibrated butt dyno" does seem to feel a bit of difference.
I bedded in the brakes but outside of that have not done any other hard braking to give a good review on the brakes themselves.

Dont know if anyone else had this issue with the Girodisk, but I had to grind some of the coating off on the side of the pads to get them to fit in the caliper. Even then they would not have fit if I was trying to install with the caliper still on the rotor.

Like the coating/paint was too thick preventing them from fitting?

If you grinded away the paint/coating - aren't they prone to corrosion where you grinded?

Yes the coating was too thick (and had a bump on one edge).
I tried not to grind all the way to the metal, but yeah that would make the pad a little more vulnerable ...... fortunately I live in the desert so very little wet weather and no salt on the roads.

Strange, as Girodisk generally has a reasonable reputation for quality.

I would have done the same as you - grind to fit.

Did you use any brake lubricant on the edges when installing (where you grinded) Some people do, some don't. (I don't).

Not on the edges, put brake lube on the backs, the pins, and that spring clip the pins go through
