With the powerstop z26 I have a thunk sound when shifting between forward and reverse and braking once between those changes in direction (the pad is shifting in the caliper). This phenomenon is pretty well documented in a lot of car forums. For those of you with the EBC redstuff, have you had that experience?
I was told by the manufacture that they changed the stinger front pads about a year ago. If you have the old pads they will shift. They are sending me new ones right now and I’ll be putting them on Friday. I’ll keep you in the loop

The manufacturer changed the pads about a year ago because they were shifting. If you get the new ones they should not have the same problem. I would buy directly from an authorized retailer.

no, they just said there had been a manufacturing change and they were going to send out new pads, provided I sent in a receipt from an authorized vendor.
Mine doesn’t happen every time, but I’d say about half of the cold starts, especially if I’m creeping out slowly. I back into my garage and my parking spot at work, so I should hear it every time.
