Like 6 hours so far let's see how long they last. Track day next week into Sonoma so we will see how all of this stuff holds up to more extreme conditions
We will be putting together a DIY for spark plug changing on the 3.3TWouldn't hurt to do a DIY/How To for others out there as some might just upgrade plugs from K5/8 Store they just added to start selling.
He's not running the chip! lolNo. I'm still thinking he had his car chipped and doesn't want us to know about it.
Call me a sceptic.
He's not running the chip! lol

It's clear you're not looking into this and wanting something to point blame at something.
Spewing out speculations is fair though right? It's clear you're not paying attention to what your customers are saying and wanting something else to blame this problem on.
NorcalJohn's car was chipped. That's why I suggested to him to take the chip off until he gets the plugs. They're paying you $600+, the least you could do is keep up with what is going on instead of lashing out at someone who is trying to save them a headache.
Oh and I was referring to your response and constant denial of mjothree and the fact that he ISNT running the chip but you keep denying what’s he’s saying, speculating he’s hiding something...It's clear you're not paying attention to what your customers are saying and wanting something else to blame this problem on.

Also NorcalJohn is running with the new plugs now and running fine... I’m failing to see where we aren’t paying attention to our customers? It's clear you're not paying attention to what your customers are saying and wanting something else to blame this problem on.

And don’t you think we are working directly with our customers? Just because you don’t see it on here doesn’t mean we are calling, responding to emails and helping customers through this?
How many hours this week have you spent talking with Kia understanding this issue?

I think you're not understanding. But I change my original post to clear things up.I said you weren't paying attention because you didn't even know he was running the chip. Your exact words were "he's not running the chip! Lol"
Well, contrary to what you thought you knew, he WAS running the chip. Which is why I suggested he stop.
It's elementary, Paul.
I never said this was Kia's fault but if you want to make that assumption again I cant change that. Originally I was simply pointing out that there can be many factors to look into in this situation. We found what we believe is a solution (upgrade spark plugs) and only time will tell. I know the upgraded spark plugs are a fix pending any possible coilpack issues on Kia's end (again not blaming Kia, just making a point because it is a possibility).saying it's all Kia's fault and just as much to lose from anyone pointing the finger at you and LAP3 for selling faulty shit.

I removed my quote referencing NorcalJohn, I'm not talking about him at all. i know hes running the chip, had problem, and we corrected it with the upgraded plugs.
My last comment was related to him NOT NorcalJohn
Here are YOUR comments about the OP who is NOT running the chip at all and having issues:
The only misunderstanding is about NorcalJohn.
I'mfree to admit it so please lets move on
but when someone trys to deface a product we sell
with no warrant orinformation to back their claims it seems silly to me
let's be mature about this please.
Man you like to argue, I was trying to get on topic but I guess there is no going back. LolYes, which sparked this entire conversation.
You didn't honestly think that editing your post would make me behave like it never happened, did you?
I didn't "daface" your product (originally). I suggested to John that he remove it until he got new plugs. In essence I did for him what you should have done.
Oh, you silly man. I'm not acting on "no warrant information". 41 Stinger owners weighed in on this poll. Not one single person said they experienced plug issues without a chip. NOT ONE!

Oh we're being mature now, since you deleted the little bit of your post where you incorrectly accused me of speculations? So if say something negative about you and then delete it I guess I can just say "hey I edited the post, let's be mature"? Is that how this maturity thing works in your world?
I know right...Well that was fun. So spark plugs...what’s that all about?![]()
Thanks Hung, sort of the point I was trying to make.Lets clear things up a bite here. I'm a certified Kia tech. I'm not taking side on this. People are having spark plugs fail without a chip and there are people having thr same people with the chip. I believe the coil is the cause of the spark plugs failing out.
