What's the difference between these two intercoolers?

There are folks who reverse all mods when taking their car to the dealer to avoid getting flagged. TWN 2RBO on youtube mentioned in the comment section of one of his videos that he reverses mods when taking his car to the dealer.

Others may want to reverse mods to maintain a decent resale value. That factor doesn't matter to me because I tend to keep my cars for the long term and I like to give them away to someone who needs a car and would appreciate it, rather than sell the car; I am mostly concerned about my car getting flagged and having to fight based on magnuson-moss.

I'm looking at getting an intercooler for my 2019 Kia Stinger GT 3.3T but I'm not sure what the main differences are between the "Wagner Tuning Competition Cooler" and the "Kia Stinger 3.3T - Ultimate Performance Front Mount Intercooler Kit"

They're similar enough in price that I can consider either or but I would like some advice and help on understanding the differences between the two and which would be the best bang for my buck.

Thanks!
I have the Wagner intercooler and have 0 complaints, quality was amazing, everything fit perfectly, and it is huge just know that. You will have to relocate your oil cooler to back of its bracket but that takes 5min. IAT are never high now even on hot days

Do you notice all that extra weight forward of the front wheels when cornering?

I looked at the Wagner but the weight scared me off and I was concerned about all the coolers behind it running hotter as a result of its sheer size.

Nothing noticeable what so ever on daily drives, never taken this car to the track so can’t gauge it that way. And no change in oil temps

Anyone know if there are any aftermarket intercoolers compatible with the G80 Sport?

I don't know of any. From looking at schematics, the core seems to be similar, but the hot side piping routes differently. And the cold side seems a little changed as well.

Reach out to IMR Racing and speak to them. They are good people genuinely supporting the Stinger community.

They have lots of good product but I read on their site they don’t ship to California. That kinda sucks lol

How different are the G70 and G80 layout when it comes to the Intercooler?
Im not sure but the engine layout is different. My injen intakes aren’t even a correct fit for it. The intakes cannot reach the vibramounts so if the airbox layout is different Im sure intercoolers are gonna be different as well.

I don't think the core is vastly different, but they have different part numbers. I know the Stinger has a different P/N from the G70 (282703L210 vs 282703L220), but the G80 is more than digit difference (282703L100).

I think the hot side piping is the key.

Thanks for the replies fellas!

I have yet to see a g80 sport with an aftermarket intercooler so I guess the only way to find out is to purchase one. I haven’t pulled the trigger on one yet since it’s a lot of money to hope it fits on the car lol

Maybe look for a used OEM core, and if you can afford it, the whole heat exchange system (pipes and couplers).

What part of California are you located?

Contact Concept 3 and see. Since you are actually closer than I am. Assuming that you have not found an intercooler yet. I saw a post and of a G70 and a aftermarket intercooler was installed on their IG page.

Sounds like a good start. Thanks!

Will specializes in everything KDM. I just started going there and have been satisfied. So just hit them up on their IG page or you can give them a call. But they close for the week so probably won’t hear back till Monday.

Hi guys,

I will try to ask here. Which intercooler would you choose? The final price is about the same.
