Does this seem like a good deal to you guys for a 2022 GT2? I'm leaning towards leasing to get the larger discount. Then I could buy the lease out early if I wanted with a conventional loan through my credit union, or just send them a check... Thoughs?
I wish I could advise. This car is the only lease I've ever entered into. My philosophy going in was this: I want the Stinger, we have the cash, but we want that lease incentive, so, if there are no obvious shenanigans going on, and no hitches in our gitalong (no negatives in the buying/leasing experience), we'll do this.

It wasn't a matter of trying to get a killer deal: I took their dealer discount without discussion (ours was $2,995 off MSRP), signed and rolled away. Three months later, after learning about lease buyout on here, I bought out the lease and saved us over $5K in lease rent over the next 33 months.

Prices are just nuts now. I would have taken the cash we had and simply accepted the $1K discount plus Jerry Seiner additional $500 off for paying cash, and bagged the lease altogether.

If you are well within budget to get this lease, then to me that is the bottom line. The "privilege of leasing" confers the advantages of being able to turn the car in and get a new one. But the price is lease rent, monthly payments and limited miles per year (if you plan on turning the car in and exceed that, then the budget has to include exceeding the miles).

I agree with everything Merlin talked about. It is hard to advise what is a good deal or bad deal right now because pricing is crazy and all over the place with the supply and demand.
I have leased both of my Stingers and have had a great experience so far. The first one I was in the same boat as Merlin in 18', wanted a Stinger and the lease options was the best with the cash I had and I was not fully sold at the time and thought I could use it as a trail run. I am very OCD so I was never worried about the potential fees and damages, after having it for 2 years I had positive equity in my lease by about $4000 so I figured I would look at upgrading to the GT2 and they had lease incentives again so I walked away with only putting down a grand and paying $30 more a month.
I will say even if I didn't trade in my 18' and my lease was ending next month like it was suppose to I would not trade that car in. Buying out that lease and being able to sell I would have at least broke even, if not made profit. I see myself doing the same with this GT2 because you are very unlikely to be upside down on lease with a Stinger.
The one tactic I do like to do is using their website to my advantage, so I found the GT2 that was in stock and used their payment calculator through Kia's website and when I walked it I started with that base calculation because a lot of the time it will be higher initially in store.

Side note, I got on the website to build one and you can now get Beige Nappa Leather for the White, Blue, and Green?? I always wanted the beige with white, but never saw theirs in person. I wish they would do the dark brown that they put in the Sorento or in general offered more interior options.

Yep, I can't tell the interior color, but I know they have a couple more Scorpions coming in soon and one has the red interior that I would like to have. Mind sharing the cost details?

The lease does once again look like the better offer and that is what I am leaning towards, and then just buying the vehicle within the first 90 days or so to save interest. I have never leased a vehicle either so that part is new to me.
I did see that Merlin posted about an email he got from them indicating $5K off MSRP and free maintenance for 3 years so I thought he would at least speak to that as it sounds like a better deal. If I can get $5K off of MSRP and $3600 lease incentives then we are looking good and I'll own one soon enough. I think I'll email my sales guy back and tell him I heard about this deal and see if we can strike a deal.

Jerry Seiner said that deal was only for two days: but, you won't get a "NO" unless you ask. :P

free maintenance for 3 years
They get you with this one at Seiner, it is for their conventional oil change, tire rotation, inspection and car wash token. Make sure if do go through with it you ask in the back office (finance) to upgrade you to the premium oil on the "free 3 year" maintenance package and make sure they are giving you actually 3 years worth of it so 6 oil changes or prepaid maintenance is what they call it.

i sooo wish i could snag one of them coming in; alas, i am upside down on my lease because i got fooled by another dealership a few years ago.

My free oil/service from Jerry Seiner was nine oil changes. I didn't hear anything about "free 3 year" maintenance; maybe a new wrinkle? They also offer three oil changes for ninety bucks. I have one more coming then I'll buy another three for $90.

Is that for synthetic oil? They get you with the fact the GT's need 7.3 quarts of oil so when I got to get the 3 pack of oil changes with the tire rotation and everything else its closer to $180-$200 for the 3.
I love the service tech at SLC, old BMW guy that knows his stuff and shoots you straight but I might need to go to South Jordan for those prices if they are synthetic... :oops:o_O

Unless Merlin is getting a killer discount that's not for synthetic, I do the synthetic and if memory serves it's around $200. It's still a good deal IMO. I would also be pretty surprised if the SoJo location had different prices since they're both owned by Seiner. I laugh that the cheap bastards give you the cheapest car wash when you get a token though.

On another note, they are really trying to sell me a 2022 Stinger, they sent me a letter about how it would "only cost me an extra $100 a month". They've also tried to buy mine pretty much every time I've brought it in. Anyone else getting this much attention from them?

Anyone else getting this much attention from them?
Yes, but not lately. They must have offered to buy my Stinger half a dozen times in the last two years.

Is that for synthetic oil?
Doubt it. Synthetic would be utterly wasted changing it out every 4K miles, which is what my service interval has been since the beginning.

When I had my blue one, any time I would go in I would get an offer to sell mine for a new one. They would pitch that I would only have to pay an extra $50-$100 more a month for a brand new GT2 since Stinger hold their value. With my new one I have only been maybe a handful of times and probably only had them ask the last time. Maybe it is the white and blue is more appeasing?

I just found out about this car museum located where Macy's used to be in the South Town Mall, in Sandy. The gal at the counter said they've been c. six months in this location, and prior to that, c. six months at the other end of the mall. They have currently 85 cars, most of them provided by local owners (we have some very geek grade car collectors in Utah). They have a smaller second location in the Provo Mall, c. 40 cars there.

Price of admission is $10.

These pics I took from the public entrance area (she said that taking pics was permitted):

Well, looks like I'll be joining the Stinger family again. Just signed away my soul for a '22 GT1 in Ascot Green. Should be taking delivery next week sometime!

Young Kia in Ogden, by where my family lives. Didn't get a great deal this time, but considering I'm about a year out of bankruptcy after my divorce, I can't complain about getting qualified at all. Lol.

No longer in Roosevelt? Or did I jump to a conclusion. :P
