I know there's no replacement for displacement
, but give the 2.5l 4 cyl turbo a try too. You'll be surprised at how peppy it is. Available without sunroof if that's your thing.

I posted this in your earlier thread which got deleted for some reason..

I think nissan went down hill after the g37. Owned a g37s for 8 years, ~40K miles. This was the 6mt version. I had no mechanical issues, brakes were fine. There was a power steering whine early on that had a tsb for a redesigned reservoir. Maintenance was a piece of cake.
8K miles seems awfully low for a 3 year old car. How does the owner explain the mileage?

I'd stay away.. Why did kia buy it back... Possible they fixed whatever the problem was, but... for $38K+ after taxes, I think you can do better.
Really want that v6 and awd but I hear you lolI know there's no replacement for displacement, but give the 2.5l 4 cyl turbo a try too. You'll be surprised at how peppy it is. Available without sunroof if that's your thing.
That’s a big sigh of relief with the brakes being the only major concern with the stinger. I plan on swapping them out the pads and rotors once I get mines hopefully this Wednesday fingers crossedOnly item on your list of potential Stinger issues that has been verified by multiple members are the brake pads being junk. Other than that, nothing else you listed are widespread issues.
I'm at 10,400 miles (9+ months into ownership, new) and only in the past 1,000 miles have I noticed any vibration when braking. Plan is to have the OE rotors resurfaced (but might wait to see if new pads pull the old pad material off the rotors) and new performance pads installed when it gets bad enough I can't stand it. Nowhere near that point yet. I think tracking or driving really aggressive will make the pad swap a requirement as the issue is more evident with more frequent hard stopping.
Do it. It is not going to have the amenities that the RS has but it's just a better car. I sold my stinger and later bought a Q50S. While the Q is a great car, the Stinger felt more special, is quicker when tuned, and holds value better.Greetings All,
I currently have a 2016 q50 Infiniti red sport awd with about 78k miles on it. I originally purchased this car used with about 40k miles on it . Before considering this q50 l was split between the stinger gt and q50 red sport . I decided to go with the q50 rs since I found a steal for about $29,500. Long story short my car has been in and out of the shop more times than I can recall. It’s in the shop as I’m writing this. Common problems I ran into were the serpentine belt, squeaky breaks, heat soak, and crappy transmission. Parts are expensive and my time with this car has had some high points but more low points than high points. The only mods I had done to the car performance wise were a upgraded heat exchanger and Megan lower down pipes. Parts are taking forever to ship and I’m just fed up with Infiniti to be quite honest. The more I look into the stinger gt the more I like it . I have read a few concerns ppl have ran across and wanted to know the common problems you guys face . From my consensus you will need better brake pads, upgraded heat exchanger, ceramic coat to protect that thin paint, fluid leaks, shaky steering wheel when you get on it, wire harness problems , and the overall feel of the car after you had it for over 50,000k miles . The overall feel of the car feels old once it hits 50k miles. Not sure if these conceptions are true but would love to have someone shed some insight as I’m really considering some kia stinger gt options in my area right now. Also I know the maintenance on stingers can be a lot more cheaper as opposed to the q50. I’m ready to jump ship lol Bye bye q50 . I have my eyes set on a stinger gt 2020 awd for $34,995 with 8,022 miles on it .
You pushing me over the edge to get it this Wednesday now lol. I’m not a big fan of tech amenities but more so the performance so I can live with the stinger . Only two must have for me are being a gt trim and awd . I live in the washignton dc / maryalnd area and we see all types of weather here so that awd is key for meDo it. A lot of people think I traded for the Q, that's not the case. I thought about it for a month and had a couple cars in mind. I settled on the Q because of the certified warranty and AWD. I couldn't bring myself to buy an AWD Stinger because it was too "special" for me to drive year around. Heck, mine only saw rain once and I was about to have an aneurism lol the Q was used so it had already saw bad weather. If I get another, it will be used for the same purpose; nice weekends. You need to buy the Stinger. You won't be disappointed.
It has enough to keep you satisfied. Sounds like it is performance over technology for you. I am the same way and the Stinger was great! You pushing me over the edge to get it this Wednesday now lol. AWD was optional for me, but agree 100% on performance over tech. The GT has most everything I had in my mid level prior Buick.I’m not a big fan of tech amenities but more so the performance so I can live with the stinger . Only two must have for me are being a gt trim and awd
