Greetings All,
I currently have a 2016 q50 Infiniti red sport awd with about 78k miles on it. I originally purchased this car used with about 40k miles on it . Before considering this q50 l was split between the stinger gt and q50 red sport . I decided to go with the q50 rs since I found a steal for about $29,500. Long story short my car has been in and out of the shop more times than I can recall. It’s in the shop as I’m writing this. Common problems I ran into were the serpentine belt, squeaky breaks, heat soak, and crappy transmission. Parts are expensive and my time with this car has had some high points but more low points than high points. The only mods I had done to the car performance wise were a upgraded heat exchanger and Megan lower down pipes. Parts are taking forever to ship and I’m just fed up with Infiniti to be quite honest. The more I look into the stinger gt the more I like it . I have read a few concerns ppl have ran across and wanted to know the common problems you guys face . From my consensus you will need better brake pads, upgraded heat exchanger, ceramic coat to protect that thin paint, fluid leaks, shaky steering wheel when you get on it, wire harness problems , and the overall feel of the car after you had it for over 50,000k miles . The overall feel of the car feels old once it hits 50k miles. Not sure if these conceptions are true but would love to have someone shed some insight as I’m really considering some kia stinger gt options in my area right now. Also I know the maintenance on stingers can be a lot more cheaper as opposed to the q50. I’m ready to jump ship lol Bye bye q50 . I have my eyes set on a stinger gt 2020 awd for $34,995 with 8,022 miles on it .
