Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Has anybody with Lozic ECU /JB4 logged and posted anything up yet? I thought a couple folks were working with Terry at Burger to fine tune a map 6 application. Wonder if that's gone anywhere yet.

I just got a JB4 to do logs with my ECU tune but I didn’t have anything planned with Terry for a map6 application.

When I get my ECU/TCU I will be contacting Terry. I have Fuel wires, EWG, and WMI that I need to balance with the Lozic stuff.

Am I correct in understanding that the overly boosty/noisy behavior people were seeing not long ago was because they had 'boost ready' enabled, or was this something else? I'm not keen on aggressive low throttle boost for a daily driver, but my configuration spreadsheet still has this enabled as the default 'best' setting.

Lozic says it is best to leave it on, but will redo for you once if you hate it.

From my understanding of this thread it was the cause of it with a combination of parts possibly. When I talked with him he said he made it better and fixed the complaints, im trying with it on, but we'll see.

Most of my other parts are on order / back order so not sure when I'll have everything done to test. The ecu / tcu are on their way already though!

AYYY WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2018 GT AND YOUR NEW 22?
The main reasons for the upgrade were the insane resale value a few months back, I always regretted not getting the red leather, and this one is AWD. Financially, it made sense. There were several upgrades from the 2018 to 2019 GT2 models, like rev matching downshifts, rear heated seats and 360 camera that I missed out on. This 2022 goes further and fixes the issue with the remote start shutting off once you open the car, and has a more modern looking nav display. I would have loved it if they updated the front in some fashion, and gave it a few more hp. My original plan was to get a RS5 sometime this year, but after coming out on top with the loan and seeing this Lozic option, just going to do a few mods and save myself $50k lol.

I see that you have to specify the octane you plan to use. What would happen if I opt for the 93 tune, but run into an area that doesn't have 93, and only 91. Would that be an issue to run 91 on a 93 tune?

that's what's up man! yeah, resale value is crazy lol. I've added a whole bunch of miles to my car and can still sell it for a little more than what I bought it for. def looking into an ECU and tcu tune now after the wide body kit.

It may be ok. I was very specific in my Lozic correspondence (in the ordering process) to mention I use E30 (93 base) and WMI. Although it should be noted if you are running higher bar on your ECU (1.5 or above), less than 93 might not be enough to run well. For clarification, you could ask Lozic on their thoughts about lower octane levels.

Just don't drive aggressively, simple as that.

Has anyone dynod on 1.4 bar?
Not that I’ve seen but it should be at least 100hp gained over stock. Other brands pushing 18-20psi tunes claim 410-430 so the lozic 1.4 bar (20 psi) tune should be in that range. Here’s the dyno for Lap3 93 octane tune which at the bottom shows a max boost of 1.4 which is assume is (bar). Sorry if it’s blurry, it’s a screenshot from Instagram.FCCE6625-17AE-4F50-B4A0-AD11D9A60EFF.webp

Btw, been running the ECU and TCU for about two weeks now. I know it’s been said like 37 times already, but I just can’t stress how much different/better the car feels now. I would never recommend going broke over a car, but if you can afford it and are on the fence, it’s worth it. It felt a bit sketchy talking to someone overseas via instagram or email, but they were very responsive, polite, and shipped it out quickly. I ordered at different times and received the TCU in a little less than a week, and the ECU in 10 days.
Were you on any sort of tune or juice box prior to your Lozic ecu/tcu purchases?

Nope. My prior Stinger was completely stock. I used some of the funds from selling the old one, to fund mods for the new one. In addition to the ECU/TCU, I have drop in filters (don’t like the turbo bov sound at my age lol), ark secondaries, and MBRP exhaust with resonators. It’s wife and kid approved, in terms of sound.

So I now have a JB4 so I can do some logs and basically have gauges to watch certain parameters with my Lozic ECU. One question is IAT’s. I have stock air boxes with drop in AEM filters and JA Scoops. It’s about 75 outside today. I was inside for about an hour after driving to a store. My IATs read 150 when I started my car. Is 150 kind of high especially for a cooler 75 degee day?

I've been using an odb2 system to watch what is presented to it, IAT being one thing. Right now my system is completely stock g70 with the 3.3, at idle it rides high 120 130 it until I start moving, especially if I had just been driving around. I'm also up in the Seattle area so not sure how that impacts it overall. Basically saying I think higher than expected IAT at idle is normal, im not an expert in this area at all though.

While driving my IAT drops to maybe 20 or 30 above ambient temp.

I've been logging random driving around with the thing, its not great, and I'll add a jb4 for better logging eventually, but I have enough to see what is going on to a small extent.

Did you drive your car prior to that? Even if its sitting for a few hours when you first start the IAT's will be high due to engine heat. once you start driving the IAT's will drop. Mine stay within 10-20 of ambient.

Just trying to get a general feeling together - if you got TCU level 2 or 3, do you wish you had gotten the other one?

I got level 2, drove it for a week and realized it totally removed all auto-shifting if you even touch the paddles, which I can't do (I'm doing HPDEs, just graduated to level 2, and I am not ready to remember to shift every time, after 17 years of auto, but I want to be in manual mode to keep the current gear, downshift a few times, etc, but still have the car upshift if I forget). So, I'm returning it to Lozic to re-program. Debating about going to level 3 - does level 3 still shift acceptably in Comfort for taking the family?

I remember someone else saying recently that they had both pressure 2 and 3 tcu tunes. They said the difference was only at Wot not when driving slower or in comfort. I’m happy with pressure 2 I have no need for even more wot pressure.

Hello

I was having P 2 but change to 3. Just difference at WOT and better if goal is to have more power and then need firmer shifts.
With full bolt ons and power from like 1,5 bar, choose 3.
