Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Damn tempting
It’s a pretty night and day difference and I don’t even have a jb4/ecu.
From what I’ve seen across all tuners/tcu tunes the overall difference tends to be around .4-.5 seconds faster in the 0-60 and a couple of tenths in the 1/4.

Pretty nice!

Are you planning on the jb4?

I’ve been close to ordering one multiple times then I always chicken out. I’ve had the car for over 2 years and close to 30k miles now. I wanted to wait to see if anything else came to the market and now that this ecu tune has gained some traction on the forum and in the US/Canada I might be going with the lozic ecu tune in the fall.

I have about 7K on mine and I would've got one already but pretty sure that the SO will literally kill me.

I am interested in the TCU tune. What is the AWD tune? Also, I see Lap3 came out with a TCU tune. Any thoughts on best one? How would I order one from Lozic and what options? I am kind of a newbie and don't know all the settings, I know a few.

Screen Shot 2021-08-19 at 10.14.56 PM.pngHey guys, here's what the new order form looks like. I think? Idk if people have posted it.

Anyone know what youtube video he's referencing for the A or B pattern? And now what's the difference between bubble, pop and bang (i can figure out flame) I'm assuming pop is the old soft popcorn and bang is the hard popcorn? then bubble is something else ‍

Also I changed boost ready function to off, he says ON is ideal

You can message them on FB or Instagram and he will ask for your email and send you an order form. I too am wondering which one is the better option. I know Lap3 is more expensive but its also here in the states (at least i think) so if anything goes wrong it should be an easier fix. Just do us all a favor and stay away from torq motorsports.

I saw in a different thread that bubble is basically compared to softer exhaust burbles without the actual popping or banging.

Boost ready is a good function, but most people find the noise and drivability annoying. If you want the car to drive the way it always has for you just select off. I wouldn't experiment if your not familiar with it.

After more time driving on the ECU (stock AWD G70, ECU 1.4 bar, no TCU), I can confirm it's very very quick. Quick enough to break all 4 A/S tires loose mid-corner at peak torque (rear first, then fronts are engaged and subsequently overwhelmed). I haven't done much 0-60 launches, but there's so much torque you could legitimately just gingerly roll into the power and leave behind anything that wants to compete. It's so effortless and drama-free - you don't even need to wring it out to 5k rpm. If I'm critical, I'd say these turbos have the typical "tiny turbo syndrome" in that they're well out if their ideal operating range by 5k rpm. You can feel them running out of breath starting at 4-4.5k. It makes going for the absolute fastest times a little dull beyond 3rd gear. That shouldn't be surprising looking at the Dyno charts of tuned 3.3s, and that's not a fault with the tune, just the Lambda engine setup.

As I get familiar the power in sport, I'm beginning to think comfort is too slow. My ECU is set up to do 0.3bar in Eco (think base Camry fast), 0.7bar in Comfort and 1.4bar in sport. 0.7bar feels like the 2.0T. 1.0bar would probably be stock 3.3T power levels, right?

I saw in a different thread that bubble is basically compared to softer exhaust burbles without the actual popping or banging.
I can't hear bubbles with my stock g70 exhaust at speed. I can only really hear them in low gears when the tire noises are subdued. I have bubbles only 4.5k rpm and up, for 0.8 seconds in Sport only. If I'd do it again, I'd do bubbles only 1 second 3.5k rpm and up.

I also want to know the difference to the A and B pattern. There isnt any video on their youtube so I dont know what its referring to.

I get a new 2022 g70 here in a month or so and I've reached out to lozic with some questions, but I have questions for you guys here.

With a 1.5 bar, tcu, and almost full bolt on, no planning on aftermarket exhaust, would you go with wmi or cpi?

Planned mods are jb4 for ewg and wmi or cpi control, map 6 for tuning as needed.
Lozic ecu1.5 and tcu pressure 3 -5%
Mishimoto FMIC and pipes
GFB bov
All the BMS goodies (intake, tranny oil cooler, oil catch, diff brace)
Ark Sway, ark GT-F springs
Just torn on wmi or cpi at this point!

Goal is make a drivable "fast as f*ck boi" sleeper looking g70.
I dont want to compete with Williams, but want to be mid 3 0-60 and not nuke the engine /tranny with spirited street driving.

If you plan to run e85 mix I would go CPI, if you don't have E85 in your area I would do WMI

I mean you can run mid 3 0-60 on 93..just check out slip_angle ‘s bio.

I only get 91/92 here in good ole seattle..

E85 is forever away (1+ hr). I had seen on other forums wmi does a good job at reducing heat?

I did see slip's, I figured I build up to max for fun, and play as I want.

Does wmi not mess with you mpg like e mixtures?

I use E30 AND WMi. I should be getting the Lozic ECU and TCU in the next 30 days. What I like about WMI is that it only comes on at WOT unlike Ethanol. Also, there is a cleaning component to the WMI that I like. If any one has experience with running E30 and WMI here with Lozic, I’d like to hear it. I’m diving in to Lozic soon!

Just got a Dragy today. Did 3 runs to test it out; all 93oct, unprepped surface, ~2600DA.
  1. Eco mode (0.3 bar) (auto hold): 7.61s 0-60, 10.14s@73.18mph 1/8mi, 15.34s@95.80mph 1/4mi
  2. Sport mode (1.4 bar) (launch control): 4.53s 0-60, 8.05s@88.92mph 1/8mi, 12.46s@111.56mph 1/4mi
  3. Sport mode (1.4 bar) (launch control): 4.33s 0-60, 8.04s@88.38mph 1/8mi, [didn't complete 1/4mi on this run]
First, I need to figure out Dragy. Not the best UX, but I think I can set up a profile that'll give me everything on one screen. How do I show DA on the Performance Report screen?

Second, I'm not getting good launches. Lozic was saying how a tune only could spin all 4 off the line. With stock A/S tires and a frankly pretty shit surface (old asphalt and some dirt I'm getting 1.92s 60ft. Acceleration picks up eventually, but look at the trend. It takes a minute to figure out how to give me full beans. Do I just wait longer for boost to pick up???

Third, I love weak Eco mode. LOOK AT HOW CONSISTENTLY SLOW THIS IS. To be frank, boost-limiting is just super refined! It's just odd to hear any Vee engine in a car that's actually so slow.

Will the dealer ever be able to tell I had the lap3 tcu installed if I change it back to the stock tcu?
