What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

I paid to have mine polished, but did the coating myself, just make sure they know that you are going to ceramic coat it, that way they won't wax, it or use a polish it with a lot of fillers, or slicone content, after that easy

Edit... if your paint is good/very good, you can skip the polishing, you just won't have as much gloss

It's good given the car has no mileage on it but it does have some scratches because the prior users were careless.

Ask yourself if you are happy living with the current state of the paint for the next 3+ years... you can always polish it later if you want, but you will have to recoat it after.
I paid $250 to get mine polished, took them the better part of the morning, but it looks great.
As long as you have a garage or some place you can keep it out of the weather (no rain/water) for 2 days after you have coated it I would do it yourself, much much cheaper

EDIT- If you are interested I have an extra Avalon King Armour Shield IX... I was planning on doing my glass and wheels, but did a dedicated glass coating instead...

Same. Guys coming tomorrow morning before the big Stinger meet here in Chicago. Will post a few when he’s finished

Went to the dealer for an oil change... ended up with the Mechanic, Service advisor, and Service Manager outside impressed by how shiny the car was! So we chatted about how to ceramic coat a car

Nice keep it neat.

I'm getting a quote for ceramic coating tomorrow. Hopefully not too expensive.

Dealership go the Eibach springs in for me, I just have to find time to take it back and forth and get yet another crappy loaner.

That's pretty cool.

So I got a quote for ceramic coating with a 5 year warranty for 900 bucks which includes prep and paint correction. seems like a decent deal. going to get it done next weekend.

They did say they have never seen such a clean 2 year old car :)

Changed the brake pads. Finally got a set that fits, but now I have to take off the new retaining springs because they rattle. Ugh.

That doesn't seem correct. Nothing should rattle but the shims and springs should be in there.

That’s a great deal at $900. It’s about $1300-$1500 here

I got mine done for like $700 at a local shop. Have to do it again now since I got a new hood and bumper lol. Hopefully he gives me a discount. The new ark hood is not as glossy as my old siebon ts.

Although I just posted this in another thread, figured you could all use a good laugh.

Today I may have gone off the deep end with exhaust tips, but strangely enough, I like em!
( Please excuse the mess and filthy car ).

Turn down tips.webp
