Hey guys! Would I put Yes or No for exhaust downpipes installed if I have stock primary, Ark secondaries and MBRP Catback? Lozic told me to put Yes but I just want to make sure there wasn’t communication issues.
I think I will go for the TCU tune! Much of better times will be in start where boost not seems to come on directly with stock ECU and also with torque adjustments thruu gears.
I think that this is the missing link now as JB4 works great. It seems that the difference when I looked to logs between Lozic and JB4 is the ignition that Lozic har raise 2-3 degrees. Myabe the can because the ECU tune can interact full with the knock system. Otherwise no big difference that can hav any impact. To raise ignition have, in its range benefits as exhasut temp go lower, back pressure will be lower (backpressure kills all extra power) but there also a limit where ignition turns and not will make more power (but more power with same boost if backpressuer drops), from that point you need to backoff some degrees. Also about the knock timing adjustments... every one seems to have some compensations, it can also be mechanical noise as we take out more power, not sure it will be real knocks. Thats why Lozic can raise ignition and earn some power and better breathing at higher rpm and power curve will not go down so much at higher rpm.
Of course Lozic can scale fuel enrichments table which is good as JB4 will reach 100% and cannot adjust more, that I think is the thing that Lozic works with more ethanol blend as they can add rows or scale and interpolate the cells to higher numbers. But... there is other big limits like turbos with narrow hot sides etc. Thats why it helps to gear 500 rpm lower. Also HPFP of course but will work better with better fuel enrichment and management of the pump from Lozic.
Maybe Terry can have an option for us with full bolts on that can raise ignition in JB4 some limited degrees. I know Terry mentioned that there isnt any or little to earn in ignition, maybe so with just a tune, but with FBO it probably will be better
Also one more thing I wish for the JB4 is more adjustments for boost/gears. Today there is an option to lower boost at 1-2-3 gear to avoid wheel spin but not the other way. Lets say you go for a 1/4 mile with a lot of grip, then if you could adjust up 1-2-3 a tad as boost otherwise will go to high at higher gears with higher load which just make more heat and a slower car.
Hello guys I've been debating this for myself for awhile, but I'm really curious about the ECU + TCU tune by lozic, or JB4 + Tcu what do you guys think?
This was a 0-60mph run I did this morning using launch control letting it auto shift. 2nd run I got 4.30s and my rear tires spun a little (I'm on the summer PS4 tires). This is on 93oct fuel using the Lozic 1.5 bar tune - I didn't do any pops/bangs/bubbles for my ECU tune as my catback already pops/bubbles enough for me.
Assuming the JB4 is reading correctly and showing the timing corrections as they are (which I guess I feel it is) then I feel like I'm getting too much timing corrections. I've seen boost spike as high as 22psi - that has to be too high on pump fuel??
