If your front is tinted, what kind of workaround have you used to keep your DRL's on? Unless it's 12 noon my headlights come on.

Turn your auto headlights off....................

Maybe he likes his drl.

<deleted post about sensor being by rear view mirror>

Strike that. sensor is on Dashboard on the Stinger, unlike my old G80 that had it in the sensor area by the lane departure camera. Darken windshield, darken sensor.

Pardon my ignorance but why the hell would somebody wanna tint the front windshield??? Seems like a terrible idea.

quite a number of people in my area does it. I agree with you though, bad enough side windows obscure your night vision; Windshield tinting is even worst IMO.

I feel like my headlights come on late afternoon. Is there an option to change the sensitivity maybe?

One of my tiny pet peeves with the Stinger. There are no options to adjust auto headlight sensitivity.

This!!!!! My goodness, it'll be bright as hell out but my damn headlights will be on, it's damn annoying!

I don’t use my drl because of this. So annoying.

Common will all "AUTO" settings across brands - followed a Nissan Maxima the other day - mid day, no clouds, full sun and their taillights came on under ever overpass we went under... and it wasn't stop and go traffic - its way I hate auto settings

I find tinting the windshield to be more impactful than film on any other piece of glass from a driving comfort perspective. Once you get used to it, driving with an untinted windshield in hotter climates is immediately evident on your hands and arms.

The higher quality ceramic and nano-carbon films reject 45% or more total solar energy at 70%, which is almost visibly undetectable with a clean install. 80% is pretty much invisible. This heat rejection is higher than old dye-based limo tint, while not limiting outward visibility to any significant degree.

Edit: if you want just your DRLs on, you can almost get that buy running in the "parking lights" position on the headlight switch.

Putting it on parking will dim the drl and turn on the amber lights.

I wonder if there is a setting in UVO that we can’t get to?

We have a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has an auto setting but it also doesn't allow you to turn off the drls by themselves. It's so much better. The drls come on as soon as you start it and stay on regardless if you have the headlights on or not. It could be completely dark outside and you could be rolling with just the drls. Never turns on the headlights in broad daylight like the Stinger.

Don’t know if you can code it.

Having the parking lights on will still turn on the rear tail lights, so it's basically the same.

If you're worried about your LED lights dying then do not mess with the glass covering the light sensor!

This is the windshield version of the warranty vs modding conversation....:poop:
