What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

What a freak accident; he even braked for the wheel, and it was all feckless! Imagine what would have happened if that semi had high-centered on that wheel.
1 in a million hit there. The wheel didn't even fall over after the hit either.

Dang!

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. Slowing down will cause the vehicle's front to dive down. There is zero chance that tire doesn't deflect off the bumper.

near zero but not zero, it was an SUV so it was higher up and semi wheels aren't exactly light. You can even see the nose dive and the tire grabs in and lifts the nose back up and over.

The lifting power of a rolling wheel is what still boggles my mind; this is the weirdest combination of physical forces I've ever seen.

Installed JB4 and vanity covers, logged a couple runs with everything looking good...and got rear-ended while stopped at the light on the way home. At least it wasn’t a loose truck tire, I guess.

Dang that sucks

Damn, would be nice if other drivers would pay attention. Here's hoping for a good and quick repair.

Cellphones have turned most drivers into "drunks". Was with my son for his birthday this afternoon, a big black GMC pickup in front of us was wallowing across the lane markers, first this side then that side: my son called the cops and reported the guy, and neither of us were surprised to see him (as I passed) with a cellphone held up and to the right: as he tried (and failed) to watch his lane and look at his damned handheld device at the same time.

After the first 8,800 miles on my 2019 GT2 AWD I got tired of the brake shuddering. I bought R1 Concepts Optimum OEp front and rear brake pads with new hardware a few months ago when there was the 30% off promotion in mid-March. Got it all for $127.37 shipped.

Bedded the new brakes in and so far so good. No more shuddering. Hopefully this means the issue is permanently fixed. Will have to do more driving to find out.

I hope that like on Instagram was worth it for them. How hard is it to not rear end someone

OE pads suck.

Hit 5,000 miles end of last week and performed first oil change (for me) on Sunday. Dealer did the first one around 2,000 miles.

I also installed a Fumoto Valve (F106SX – 14mm-1.5 thread size) into the oil pan, and a Round Hatch Cover (6 inch cover) to the underbody panel, both from Amazon. I saw the idea from a post I read a little bit ago, can't remember who though. Now much easier to access and drain the oil.

Busy day for the Stinger today! Installed new R1 Concept drilled and slotted rotors, Girodisk Magic front brake pads and Maxton side skirts (Courtesy of Metalmania82...Thank you), also had an oil change and had the zerk fittings on the Eibach sway bars greased. If anyone in the NW suburbs of Chicago needs any work done on their Stinger, I got the guy for you. He's reasonable and treats my car with absolute respect. Specializes in higher end performance cars but loves the Stinger as well. Not far from my office..will have to keep him in mind. He’s cool with providing your own parts?

Finished mounting my 3 channel dash camera..

That’s great! A dash cam is a must. Auto manufacturers should make this a mandatory accessory.

Yeah no issue at all. He's done a bunch of work on my car and I always bring the parts in. He's my go-to guy since my previous mechanic retired during the pandemic. Big jobs all the way down to oil changes...he does it all. Very professional. Almost forgot...they have a Dyno too:)
