Has anyone had any issues with the HVAC blower, in particular the blower (fan) speed? Two weeks ago, my blower began functioning only at the highest speed, despite the setting. It’s blowing high on auto and it blows high when I manually adjust it to the lowest speed setting. The techs at the dealership have failed to diagnose the problem. It’s not the resister or the battery sensor. Nor is it the HVAC control module. They will be contacting Kia techs in CA for assistance.

Pretty sure you're the first on here. Pick any prize from the top shelf.. :)

So here’s the update. Apparently the problem was a blown triple switch. They also repaired some loose pins on the main harness and replaced the transistor-field.

Reviving an old thread. I have the same issue... they told me they replaced many parts without succes. Anyine would know where the triple switch is !?

Did you find any luck with this? I've just experienced the same issue. Terribly annoying.

I am still waiting for Kia to call me back. I guess Covid and holidays slowed things down quite a bit... will leave then another week...

All of my car documentation is in storage. I'll try to get to today or tomorrow and find the actual repair order for you.

Did you ever get any traction on this? I am currently having the same issue as well.

Thanks

Do you know what component was replaced excatly?
Apparently the problem was a blown triple switch, whatever that is. They also replaced the transistor-field. Here's the associated paperwork from the dealer repair shop.

It was a badly crimped wire under the fuse box thats caused the voltage to drop and partially go to ground making a bunch of component going bad. Triple switch, MOSFET and even the blower motor. Everyting as been runing good ever since the repair !

I’m replacing the resistor that was listed above.. I did do wiring under in the under hood fuse box. Hope it’s not a bunch of things like yours seemed to be

It was one thing that cause all that. They replaced the MOSFET resistor at first but it broke again. The ground wire was at fault. If you did wiring there, I would check every crimp before going ahead and changing many component that will break again...

I do believe that the fuse box related wiring is the consistent problem here. They had repair wiring issues with my Stinger also, which I believe led to the other issues.
