[Stinger GT SS]

Running PS71 all around (275/35/19 on the rear) and they're pretty good overall for a street tyre. Have not had the opportunity to push them to the limits yet so.....

Decent price and a Korean tyre on a Korean car should balance the yin and yang


If I could have justified it I would have fitted Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 all around since they're my favourite tyre for street use but way too expensive.

I’m currently running Falken Azensis FK510 - F: 245/35/19 & R: 275/30/19 & I’m really happy with them, when it comes time to replace them I may go same profile as you F: 245/40/19 & R: 275/35/19, these sizes are more closely matched in circumference & revolutions/kilometre.

Anybody have 19" Niche Targa's on their Stinger GT? If so, what offset and tire size? I've found people in this thread and elsewhere with 20's but not 19's. I'm worried about brake caliper clearance. Also a little concerned about the offsets that are available for the 8.5" wheel width (+25 and +35) as it appears closer to +30 is ideal with a 245 or 255 tire.

Figured I'd add my winter setup to this thread. Finally got it fitted and put some miles on just so I can store it for next year.

XXR 560 Chromium Black 18 x 8.5 offset 20 with a 225/45 tire.

Pretty aggressive outboard fitment but I like it.

The pics don't work anymore, I'm very interested to see these with a 20 offset. Could you repost or link to the pics please?

I'm curious, do you find you get more dirt on the side of your car with these wheels? How well do the 'mud flaps' keep dirt of the car?

Hard to tell if there is extra dirt. In PA, in the winter, it's pretty much impossible to keep dirt off the car.

The ceramic coating was a good move. My wheels are much easier to clean.

When I got them mounted and balanced most of the 3M weight tape fell off in the bed of my truck because the techs didn’t realize how much more effort was required to get them to stick.
The owner was shocked when I came back because that stuff is super sticky.

Fast FC04 vs 305Forged FT101

Are these literally almost identical wheels? They both pretty much weight very close to each other in the same specs as well. The Fast FC04s are like half the price of the 305Forgeds though.

They are just reps to the BBS wheels. Same design, different manufacturers

On the other side, I might be wrong but since FAST / 305Forged version look identical, even the prints on the face I would then to believe that they are flow formed in the same facility in China, but that Fast and 305Forged complete the post manufacturing finishing / painting to their spec in USA / CANADA.

FAST might move more of these and have a better pricing with the 3rd party facility and also take less margin for each of those they sell.

FC04 is a very good value for the money. I bought the 20" 9.5 ET35 Gloss Black FC04 for my girlfriend White CX-9 GT. CX9 GT 20" wheels are like 39 lbs and those 24 lbs....

They are most definitely flow formed. If you dig you can probably find the parent company of the manufacturers. Ie , oz is made by the same people as Konig; CCW is owned by the same as Momo. Only the big vendors like Volk and BBS do their own stuff.

How crucial is it to maintain some sort of stagger between front and rear? I'm shopping for some rims to put my factory tires (R: 255/35/19, F: 225/40/19) on, and have an online place quoting me on 19x9.5/40 rims for the rear, and 19x8.5/35 rims for the front (Braelin BR10s - I'm on a budget!) - "We want to respect the stagger configuration of your Stinger, but we don't have to replicate the widths to be exactly the same as what you currently have. We actually try to do the exact opposite by trying to go with wider wheels to give your Stinger a nice, sporty, and aggressive look, without compromising safety, fitment or drivability." When I asked about a bunch of rims that caught my eye, he shot them all down saying they wouldn't fit the specs to maintain the stagger. Is he feeding me a line and moving me to what he wants to sell me? Or does he have a valid point? I have no intentions of lowering the car, or doing any modifications other than these rims and some cosmetics, and I don't drive aggressively ... however, I also don't want to mess with the intended setup and handling performance of the vehicle. (2021 GT AWD)

Also, I know I read somewhere in this thread that the stock rear tires would be too 'stretched' on a 19x9.5 rim, but read somewhere else that they'd be fine. #confoozed!

Assuming you want to keep original tires that are staggered you should go with wheels that are also staggered. Some here are doing a square setup (tire / wheels) with success also but of course this is changing the car dynamics to some extent.


8.5/9.5 wheels with have a slight stretch on the stock tires. 255/40 PS4 were designed around a 9" wheel and work up to 10" so no problem there...

Looking at all of these pictures I'm starting to feel like keeping my stock 19'inch wheels might be the best option since my Stinger is white... had my gf look through some of these posts the other day as I was browsing aftermarket wheels... she says only white/silver/chrome would work with a white exterior... idk... is anyone else a fan of the OEM wheels that come with the Stingers? Specifically the RWD staggered ones?

For white cars with black / dark chrome accent like the Stinger my personal preference is dark grey (gun metal, anthracite) or gloss black.

I totally hate white or chrome wheels on the stinger regardless of the Stinger color.

I like your taste! I have been looking at some dark gray or even very dark purple/blue/shade wheels... but I feel like I have to get dark accents and trims on my car first before getting darker wheels...

That's a lot of reading, but like the other thread says "wheel and tire sizes can be...confusing." Outside of the necessary specs, the choice to go staggered or square is your choice. I've always assumed the AWD models all got square 18x8 - 255/45 setups, but I guess not given the tire specs you gave.

The benefits of a staggered setup really benefits RWD cars because you obviously want to maximize the available tire contact patch on the two wheels that put all the power down. This should be less of a problem with AWD because all wheels are doing the work. I understand the Stinger is RWD bias system, but the computer is going to send grip where it finds it among the four wheels for AWD. The most important thing for AWD cars is to keep the diameter of the tires the same (or very close <3%), which is where you get into a fun game of matching tire width and recommended wheel width.

I just purchased a new set of wheels and tires (F: 8.5x19-225/40 R: 9.5x19-255/35)and thought the 255 would look too stretched on a 9.5 rim, but after installing it on the car, I love it. Now the front and rear have a similar sidewall stretch and look fantastic.

I would recommend talking to @GetYourWheels if you have more questions.

The Braelin BR10's don't look bad btw. They look similar to the Variant Radon

Not to diminish the opinion of your girlfriend, but she's wrong. I've seen plenty of white Stingers with black, gold, bronze, even red wheels.

White wheels are a nightmare to clean (just spent an entire summer cleaning brake dust off white Plastidiped wheels). Silver or grey wheels are pretty common, but would be nice on white. Save the chrome wheels for your 1993 Corvette and Harley Fat Boy cruise night.

The stock wheels are fine, but they are heavy af. Totally worth it to get rid of them for something more stylish and lighter. If you just want to change the color, I recommend Plastidip.
