Installed Waste Gate adapters and lost all power. Please help.

Do you just remove the air boxes to get the access you need?
Technically you could do it without removing the stock airboxes. However, they are so easy to take out that I do it just for the passenger side. No need to do it on the driver’s side.

I was able to get the EWG wires to work. It was definitely user error. I had the pins hooked up correctly but I switched the driver’s side with the passenger’s side. I thought I had it right but it was wrong both times I tried it. Now it is right and working perfectly.
This brings up my question then, Which #1 or 2 is drivers and passengers side? Im going to install this weekend and on the install page it says it doesn't matter which one goes to which side.

Both wires are identical. However, once you place those pins in the JB4 then one set of pins needs to go to the passenger side and one needs to go to the driver’s side. If someone didn’t know this then they have a 50:50 chance of getting it right.

The pictures and instructions further down the page kind of sort of explain this.

So this is wrong? I have the connectors wired, pinned into the JB4 and labeled 1 and 2 but need to know which is drivers and which is pass

Plugging them in to the wastegates:

Stinger Driver side connection:
Connectors are interchangeable and either connector can attach to the driver side. The connection is down by the turbo. You can reach it without removing anything on a cold engine. You may need to use a screwdriver to push the connector down while holding the clip in with your finger.

Stinger Passenger side connection:
Either connector can attach to the passenger side. You'll need to remove the airbox bottom to access the connector which will then be easy to see/reach.

I changed Default Wastegate Position back to zero. That made shifts a little less jolty. I like the WindBooster for pedal response.

Overall, I am really pleased with the JB4. It really does what they advertise. I have been able to keep my traction issues in check and I am about 5 mph faster in the quarter mile. 12.5 is easy for me to run now where 12.8 was all I could count on before.

I know I can go faster at the track so I can’t wait till I can get back there again. Thanks for everyone’s help.

Now that I have it working properly I am going to try to make a video demonstrating how to connect the wires efficiently. I did it several times this weekend so I got the time it takes for install and uninstall down to 15 minutes total. That includes taking the intake off on the passenger side.
Look forward to your vid.

Did you see a difference with the EWG wires now hook up?
With the default settings it wasn’t really any different. I got a few numbers to punch in and it made the boost go up considerably. I was heat soaked by then though so it was slower on more boost. I am curious to see what it will do when it is cold with the new settings. It felt WAY faster with the numbers I got for the EWG settings.

So I left the pin gain at 20 and put the FF up to 75 and I was making up to 20 pounds of boost on map 2 on 93 octane! Hell the ecu psi was hitting 15 pounds.

Be careful with those settings. Even though it will allow the boost to go that high doesn’t mean it is better. My car got slower when I went to the higher settings but it was also heat soaked at the time.

I am going to try it with higher settings when it is cold this weekend.

I talked to Terry and will and they both said 75 is way too high I sent mine back down to 60 by Terry said. My car was under boosting a little that’s why I put it up a little.

I am talking to will now and he is helping awesome guy I put mine back to 50 and waiting on his guidance.

Just to throw it out there default settings is a good place to start, and any changes from those should be based on what you see in your cars specific logs. Not what others run on the forum. :)

Are you able to use launch control without spinning like crazy?

Are you able to use launch control without spinning like crazy?
Yes and no. I went to the track on an extremely sunny ☀️ But cool day. The sun heated up the black track and traction was exceptional that day. I was able to use launch control without any boost reduction at all and had near perfect launches.

I was able to get a 1.92 60 foot and a 4.06 0-60 mph on the stock PS4 tires that day. However, on the street and on cloudy days I still spin like crazy.

Since then I have upgraded the rear tires to PS4S tires and that actually allowed me to use launch control without any boost cut even on the street in full sunshine.

Hopefully I can get back to the track on a warm sunny day with the new tires. My goal is to go sub 1.90 for the 60 foot with stock sized tires, with RWD, and without the brake snip or E-Brake launch.

Want to know how much time need to remove/re-insteal the EWG?
I aways remove my JB4 when visit dealer. It tooks about 5 mins to remove(JB4 and Fuel wire),When I read the inteal guide it seems a little hard to reach,So if this EWG add too much time/work I will not consider this.
I got Injen intake may easier than stock, but still wonder know much additional work need(also worry about driver/passanger side stuff)

I took my car to get appraised the other day and I had to remove everything. It took me about 20 minutes to remove everything including taking the OBDII port out.

The EWG wires are tedious to install the first time. They are much easier each time after that.
