I have a iPhone 8+
The JB4 app freezes when I give the car hard acceleration.
the JB4 is on Velcro onto the battery, the Bluetooth is Velcro onto the side of the JB4 and pointing towards the driver side.
The app is up to date.

Really not a "should be"....depends upon what you want the results to be......My app would crash at different points. i disabled the "ignore auto logging....." and set threshold to above 50% and was able to get more stable results....emailed support but most suggestions i had already tried. Also, make sure no other Bluetooth devices are present and the jb4 adapter is away from metal and close as possible to the cabin.

YIKES!!!! That basically says the unit is a "dud".......once i made the adjustments to the logging parameters, my issues stopped. Not sure why "logging" had an effect but that is what cleared my issues up.

What I usually tell people who have older JB4 systems they bought used, and a random issue, is to just replace the 2580. If it doesn't solve the issue we'll refund the $25 for you and at least you've eliminated a common cause. And of course if you're the orignal owner we have a 5 year warranty on the JB4 hardware so happy to send one under warranty.

Thank you Terry, I will order the part and try to replace it. I’ll let you know if it stops the problem.
How hard to open the thing up and replace it. Any links to the specific part to be replaced.
