• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

MY21 Aussie Release Date

Have you popped into Botany and viewed the blacked out Stinger as yet? I've viewed a red one, and noted no sequential indicators here in NZ either.. Did you hear there is a Limited Edition due in April?
No haven't seen one in the flesh yet, hoping to see one this week.
Hadn't heard of a limited edition either - any details?

Finally got a "arrival" date for my neon orange my21 stinger. They are telling me it is due to come off a truck at the dealer on the 13th of January. I guess at least that's a start after months and months of basically nothing. Wish time would just go quicker lol.

Details of the facelift and prices:

Interestingly, it appears the 4 cylinder models still have bonnet vents unlike overseas where only the 6 cylinder models retain them. Only the GT gets the new "watch strap" leather seat stitching; the other variants retain the original seat design. The GT and GT-Line now have the same design of alloy wheels; previously they had different designs.

There's no mention of a 'black' or 'dark' pack. Perhaps that'll be available as a future limited-edition model.
Yes 2.0l GT Line has Bonnet vents and same 19" alloys
I got mine early last week .
As per my dealer stating only difference between refreshed 2021 GT and GT line is gt comes with obvious 3.3 twin T v6 , brembo breaks and quilted leather seats .
One more thing with build date .
If you guys receiving your new car in January it won't be MY 2021 it will be MY2020
Mine refreshed GT line 2.0l was build November 2020 and compliance is MY2020

The exhaust tips on the 2.0 GT Line look smaller (?) than the GT so not sure if it is also missing the bi-modal exhaust (I could be wrong - dammit Kia hurry up and publish some detailed specs). GT's do not get the diamond quilted leather in Australia but it is a different pattern to the seats in the 2.0 GT Line.

Only the GT got the larger exhaust tips and bimodal exhaust. And yes of course you are right about Australia GT does not get the diamond quilted seats (thank God).. there's some good pics in this thread showing my21 GT

You are right about bi-modal its only on GT
Oh, no quilted seats on GT!?
Brochure that dealer showed to me had pictured quilted seats for GT
Maybe they are only for Korean market!

AU GT's will have the following seat pattern (in red or black). Diamond Quilted is only available in Korea to my knowledge.

Mine is expected to arrive in Feb, so is it looking like a MY21? Dealer reckons it is

That's a bit unusual, but unusual seems to be the norm these day.

Would have been certain all early refresh models would be 2020 MY21. Will wait to see what pops up on redbook.

Usually a build in the last quarter of the current year is referred to as an MY from the next year therefore a November 2020 build should be MY21.

Yep, maybe GB*S' is having issues if MY21 isn't in the registration system? Not sure why it would be MY20.

I think you'll find that in registration terms the "Year" is the build/compliance year and not relevant to MY.
