Wheel/size/offset and tire/size/profile...can be confusing.

This guy is the champ with 265s and coilovers, which aggravate clearance issues in the front.

But you have spacers. Is that right? A mistaken "rotation" placing the 255 rears in front would rub (as happened as related on another thread today).
It all depends on the offset. If I had +30 rims all around instead of +35 it would fit just fine. Then I would not need the 5mm spacers and you could rotate tires just fine.

I am square with 255/40/19 on the 8.5" OEM rims front & back, with 5mm & 15mm spacers in the rear & front respectively.
This will let me rotate any way I want...without touching the spacers.

Update:

tires came in on weds, took a wheel and tire to local shop for test fitting and the 8.5 +40’s work. They mounted the tire then installed on the front and had me turn full lock inboth directions and could not find any rubbing happening.

I have however already bought 5 mm spacers just to be on the safe side.Anyone have experience with them? Good, bad, indifferent? The ones i purchased were the one’s @WildBill recommended in the other offset thread from amazon. They are hub centric as well for those wondering.

If the spacers arent going to cause any issues or danger i have no problem running them. Most issues i have seen have been from the adapter style spacers that change or add another set of studs on to the vehicle.

If the tire fit and worked without a spacer I would definitely run without a spacer. My rims were 9-1/2" wide so that would probably be the difference in fitment right there. Be sure to post pics!

20x8.5 +40 asa gt14. 245/35/20 front 255/35/20 rear.

Agree not a fan of adding spacers if not needed ie: clearance or appearance

Hey just wanted to see if I could get some input. I was going to try to run 19x9.5 squared with 265. But seems like that's an issue up front. Knowing that I'll probably go with a staggered setup. 19x8.5 up front and 19x9.5 in the rear.

The wheels I want are the stance SF07 and was wondering what offset you guys would recommend to sit flush. I won't be lowering the car so it will be stock height.

Something around ET35 if not lowered should be close I believe. Maybe other specialist can confirm

Good Morning,
I have a 2020 Kia Stinger (GT-line)(AWD), and I am looking to go with 20” Staggered
Ferrada F8-FR7 in Matte Black.
Not sure of the offsets, but I believe the wheel sizes are....
- 20 X 9 Front
- 20 X 10 rears.

I am also lowering the car about 1.2” on H&R springs, and wanted to go with these size tires, since they are exactly @ 26.8 OD front and rear, and the car is AWD. unless you recommend another size set that is good or a really close match for AWD.
  • 245/25R20 (Front)
  • 285/30R20 (Rear)
Trying to see if they will fit? and if so, what's the best OFFSETs?
Any other mods needed? roll the fenders?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Thats what I run, I don't know how the spring rates of the H&R and Eibach compare, or the GT-Line strugs vs the GT2 electronic struts, however, I needed to stiffen up the struts a little bit to avoid some very minor rubbing. My offsets are +35 front and +45 rear, if you're +35 front and +40 rear you'll have a similar fitment to me, in which case you may rub the rear fender liner lightly (this is really a non issue if you can put up with it), and depending on your steering angle and a properly timed bump, you may rub the fender liner tabs in the front, also not really a non issue. If your H&R springs and GT-Line struts are a little stiffer than mine, you may not rub at all.

Do you guys mind the hub rings to fit the different bore sizes? I.E. Vibration and such? Any issues?

I kinda want to find exact but there isnt alot of selection for 67.1 bore sizes

No issues, these rings are always quite a precise fitment, whether they’re plastic or aluminum, they’re not load bearing, they’re just centering rings, the bolts and lugs hold them in place.

Hi everyone. Found some Michelin Alpin pilot snow tires in mint shape. Guy is asking $450 but might get to $400. Trouble is there are ( 2 ) 255/35R 18's and (2) 235/40R 18's. I don't think the 255's would work on my stock 18's correct? Also might not do well with the AWD. Uggh. Hate missing out on good deals for common sense!

Those tire sizes I believe are ok, check the spreadsheet in the first post. 8”+ rims are fine for 255’s, so I’m pretty sure that setup is fine. I run 245 front 285 rear staggered AWD, staggering is not a concern. For AWD you want to make sure the tires are the same overall diameter. Even that is sometimes over stressed, your car is never going in a straight line. So there’s always rotational difference left/right and front/rear. You don’t want to be off by 5%, but close is close enough.
