It all depends on the offset. If I had +30 rims all around instead of +35 it would fit just fine. Then I would not need the 5mm spacers and you could rotate tires just fine.
If the tire fit and worked without a spacer I would definitely run without a spacer. My rims were 9-1/2" wide so that would probably be the difference in fitment right there. Be sure to post pics!
Thats what I run, I don't know how the spring rates of the H&R and Eibach compare, or the GT-Line strugs vs the GT2 electronic struts, however, I needed to stiffen up the struts a little bit to avoid some very minor rubbing. My offsets are +35 front and +45 rear, if you're +35 front and +40 rear you'll have a similar fitment to me, in which case you may rub the rear fender liner lightly (this is really a non issue if you can put up with it), and depending on your steering angle and a properly timed bump, you may rub the fender liner tabs in the front, also not really a non issue. If your H&R springs and GT-Line struts are a little stiffer than mine, you may not rub at all.
No issues, these rings are always quite a precise fitment, whether they’re plastic or aluminum, they’re not load bearing, they’re just centering rings, the bolts and lugs hold them in place.

Those tire sizes I believe are ok, check the spreadsheet in the first post. 8”+ rims are fine for 255’s, so I’m pretty sure that setup is fine. I run 245 front 285 rear staggered AWD, staggering is not a concern. For AWD you want to make sure the tires are the same overall diameter. Even that is sometimes over stressed, your car is never going in a straight line. So there’s always rotational difference left/right and front/rear. You don’t want to be off by 5%, but close is close enough.
