All ok on the west coast. All happening in Victoria at the moment. Second wave.Crazy stuff happenning in OZ ?? Looks like a Police State ......................whats really happenning ???
She's always out and aboutYes so true at the moment. Hope the Stinger is still getting out and about though.

We are reasonably lucky, as regional we are at stage 3 but Melbourne and outer suburbs are tight stage 4 and it's been extended. All ok on the west coast. All happening in Victoria at the moment. Second wave.
Yes I feel for you Victorians. If they end up forcing our borders open, we will end up being in the same boat though, as well as the rest of Australia. Interesting times ahead. We are reasonably lucky, as regional we are at stage 3 but Melbourne and outer suburbs are tight stage 4 and it's been extended.
The active cases are coming down everywhere, we have 16 in Geelong.
people are going nuts though and protesters ( tin foil hat brigade ) are out in force.I may not agree with everything the state government is doing but I think Dan Andrews in between a rock and a hard place. ( so many Vic's are calling him a dictator etc ) we couldn't keep going with over 600 new cases daily, our health care system wouldn't cope. We have had positive cases in my hospital and as health care workers we can't " down tools " and walk, we take an oath as Nurses, a duty of care to look after all patient's no matter what, even if it potentially puts our lives at risk.
.....................I spend a lot of time researching this issue and the facts I see are that there is over a 99.7 % recovery rate and well over 80% of deaths are amongst people 82 yrs old + ........................there is more to this than a health issue ......................We are reasonably lucky, as regional we are at stage 3 but Melbourne and outer suburbs are tight stage 4 and it's been extended.

True, but not all that have succumbed are elderly, there have been kids dying oversea's in Europe. Perhaps these people had comorbidities, most of us do from a certain age. I was born with a Heart Murmur and have subsequently developed Atrial flutter, I will always have an abnormal heart beat, I will be on a beta blocker for life, if I caught Covid, I don't know how it would affect me ?.....................I spend a lot of time researching this issue and the facts I see are that there is over a 99.7 % recovery rate and well over 80% of deaths are amongst people 82 yrs old + ........................there is more to this than a health issue ......................
I agree Flame , the response ( shut downs etc ) is radical given the data , that speaks to this being beyond medical ...................back to jokes sorry for the hijack !!True, but not all that have succumbed are elderly, there have been kids dying oversea's in Europe. Did the research inform you that some people have a long haul recovery rate. Even a lot of young people are saying the fatigue can last for months.
Also heard, don't know how correct it is, that Covid damages the lungs, causes scarring, so healthy people may endure life long effects from this.
For those waiting for a cure as far as vaccination goes, ok will help initially but just like the Flu which we have a vaccine for, it hasn't cured the flu has it ? there are different strains of the flu and I fear this will happen with Covid, it has already mutated.
We will have to live and adapt to this virus, I think it will won't be vanquished fully, what we can't live with is these on going restrictions that are crippling our economy and peoples lives.......I guess time will tell if it's more than a health issue.
No worries...........back on topic.......I agree Flame , the response ( shut downs etc ) is radical given the data , that speaks to this being beyond medical ...................back to jokes sorry for the hijack !!

Conspiracy theory...........................I spend a lot of time researching this issue and the facts I see are that there is over a 99.7 % recovery rate and well over 80% of deaths are amongst people 82 yrs old + ........................there is more to this than a health issue ......................
My kids would be going “Who’s Tom and Jerry?”.
