What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

I'm getting the Borla catback exhaust, Ark mids, HKS plugs and Injen intakes installed tomorrow possibly.
Mechanic finally gave me a rough estimate: 3hrs to install the plugs, 1hr for the exhaust and 3hrs to install the intakes. Does it actually take that long to install the intakes?!?!?! I was thinking an 1hr 30min tops.
Charges 110$ an hour
No idea about the plugs. My Borla was right at an hour for the shop to do it. My father did my intakes with me in his garage in about an hour and a half. We were in absolutely no hurry to get it done either, BMS.

So total n00b question ... what's the difference between the red stuff and the green stuff?

Hah, I had noticed that too. I was having a hell of a time picking a set. With the Snow White Pearl my criteria was to not pick a black or silver set, not break the bank and find something that looks aggressive not luxurious. Niche and Stance had several options that fit the bill. The choice was made when I saw the profile of this Panthera with a lighter version of the Gemello.

This person may be in the group or some of you may know who this is, but this look and profile is absolutely bad ass. If I get a fraction of the look with the darker version I will be pleased.
I know that car & guy, he lives in SoCal, best looking wheels for the Stinger IMO, I wish I had seen them before I got my wheels.
Also a guy here in Sydney did the same set up & he has an orange Stinger & they look is awesome, so you won’t be disappointed, good choice.

Probably like my dba’s its the pad material.
My fronts are orange & are XP extreme performance, my rears are green SP street performance.

I use the chemical guys "light metal polish" on my exhustl tips.. not sure about the other paint... is it on the headlight? maybe your fingernail?

The red stuff are in between oem replacement and full on track. The green are ready to run for daily driver and spirited driving.

I chose the green for the rear to keep the bias the same on how the car was meant to stop. The change from the crap oem pads to these are night and day. From Initial bedding to today’s grocery Run. Night and day.

Any recommendations on how to properly clean the exhaust tips? When I bought the car they were pretty dirty already.
I might be a bit OC about exhaust tips. I always look there when I see a Stinger parked. Usually they are filthy inside the lip.

The solution is to clean them often. I use a terrycloth towel and Optimum No Rinse, my washing solution. Just run your index finger around the inside vigorously; and often; don't let black crud build up.

I will have to give all of this a try on the tips. Worst comes to worst I am looking to get a Borla/Quicksilver exhaust so I'll get new tips for that.

Yeah, the white paint is on the headlight. I tried with my fingernail and it is pretty tough, I may have to try a razorblade to get it off.

Razor blade will probably scratch the plastic. ... Try an old rewards or hotel room key card or a popsicle Stick, or a paper towel and some googone or wd-40

Airdesign rear diffuser installed. Later this week is JB4 and Ceramic. :cool:View attachment 49371View attachment 49372View attachment 49374View attachment 49376

Looks great! I'll probably end up getting this now bc of the pics you posted. Maybe the canards also.
When I installed the JB4, I found it "easy" to push the OBD wire through the grommet after taping it around a metal hanger with a small loop at the end to grab onto. Used a screwdriver with my other hand to make some space while pushing the wire through.

Add this yesterday and yes i can feel the difference:)

Interested in the difference it made, can you please elaborate on the experience.
this makes a great deal of difference on how solid the rear end feels in the car. Not just on a launch, but in every day moderate to aggressive driving too.

Thanks that’s the BMS spiel, when you say “solid feel“ do you get this at take off, hard acceleration & cornering as I note you have Swaybars fitted & does it also enhance rear end stability.
