2021 GT Limited Special Edition Neon Orange for Canada

Hello all! My firsts post in the forum as I am getting conflicting information about the soon to be released 2021 special edition Neon orange for Canada.
This is because of the different jurisdictions that have the GTS from 2020 (the USA) and such when I do an internet search.

I put an order in for one this week thinking the car was like the GTS but when I start to read more and more articles I'm not sure anymore.

So does anyone out there know what the differences will be? With absolute certainty?

I currently own a 2018 GT Limited. I would like to know the differences between my current car and this 2021 special edition.

One article has stated that the only difference is the neon orange paint and the orange stitching on the floor matts.

Another article states the same but also that the special edition will have D-AWD with drift mode (so being able to put 100% of the power to the rear tires).

Are there going to be any exterior differences? I was hoping it would be like the 2020 GTS available in the USA. So it would come with the carbon fibre accents, LED rear lights, and the large "Stinger" logo centred on the back.

I've also read that the 2021 engine will have more horsepower. But this seems to be only in particular jurisdictions.

Any help would be appreciated because I'm wondering if spending an extra cash after a trade in on my 2018 would be worth it.

I think it's too soon to tell what we will get, our version(s) have quite a few differences than the other markets, I think the only things you can count on are a bigger infotainment screen, Orange paint option, and rear lights. Engine is unchanged. Best bet is to wait a bit.

All I know for certain is that the Fed Orange was made available in the US on the 2020 GT2 trim. So, the color you ordered is no indicator of anything but top level trim; if Canada does this the same way.

from what I have read and the pictures the 2021 GTS will not be a facelift car and will be based on GT Limited plus the extra GTs goodies USA got for the 2020.

Nope. Just the paint. The facelift won't be here until 2022 model year.

Darn it! I'm starting to question the extra amount I'm gonna spend for this car when I have a perfectly good GT Limited with only 13,000 kilometres --- which hasn't been winter driven (I know, it's a shame but road salt kills our cars).

So my only reason to buy is to have 1 of 75 in Orange and of course a brand new Stinger.

I must ponder this one further.

LOL i'm in the same boat as you! 2019 GT Limited with just over 10,000 km's summer driven. I'm not planning on "upgrading" though. Perfectly happy with it and the facelift doesn't entice me at all.

Don't buy based on rarity. That's a marketing gimmick as Kia will undoubtedly release that colour as standard for 2022. They have done the same in the USA with that colour. GTS exclusive and now standard colour choice.

Yeah I'm thinking I'll quash the deal. And it seems some more significant changes will occur in 2022.

The only other benefit I see on getting the 2021 model, is that it'll be "one year newer" if you try to re-sell it vs. getting the 2020 model.

umm i know the 2020 model got LSD for the AWD so I would assume the 2021 would also have that.

Only the GT Limited trim got it.

yeah and thats a good difference between the 2018 GT limited and the 2020 GT limited

also my 2019 version has no rattles (smooth and quiet!) so i think they fixed that from the 2018 i heard some reviewed complaining about

Yikes ... no rattles yet. I suppose upon comparison to my 80's 911 this car is super quiet and smooth. So rattles wouldn't ... rattle me. lol

I heard that the 2021 might get a slight revision to the engines numbers. Same 3.3L engine but a 8hp bump.

Maybe the 2022 will get the new 3.5L Twin Turbo. its got almost 400 lbft of torque! Its in the genesis GV80.

Also there is a new 2.5T at around 300HP because the 2.0 not selling, they even stopped selling it in Canada.

Biggest change will be that 10.25" screen i think

So far 2021 Neon Orange Stinger for Canada is advertised as 365hp same as the 2020 but at a price of 53905... What a price increase if only the paint / carpet are different vs the Limited version. The 2019 20th anniversary was also more expensive vs the Limited and did not get much in return.

In canada we dont even have 2.0T in 2020

Now do we have RWD or nearly as many options as you guys have in the states.

We just have GT and GT limited. But whose complaining? Stingers here are like 30% cheaper in Canada than the US.

Dealers also tend to not budge on MSRP or even charge more than MSRP for the "limited" editions. You can buy a '20 GT Limited for $47,000 so why pay $7,000+ more for orange paint?
