3.3TT Mishimoto's Stinger GT Intercooler Kit R&D Thread

Thank you for the very well done install video, answered a couple of questions i have been wondering. i'm really on the fence about ordering but looking at the quality of the build and various parts that come in this package is pushing me closer to jumping on the early pricing. If its super compelling i'll be ordering.
Well consider this, and keep in mind you don’t get a merge pipe either with Wagner but Wagner is like 900+ just for their intercooler Kit and it comes with way less so idk if it’s around $1,000 and not much more I’m likely buying. It it’s more than $1100 idk..

No worries, and a great question! There is only one minor modification needed to the front air shrouding starting at 11:25 in our installation video:

I also have the stock part number listed for you guys on the product page in the case that you do want to revert back to stock.

Excellent install video. If someone can do intakes they can definitively do this but a lift will be much easier

a direct comparison with another Mishimoto product would probably be a good reference. This kit may be similar. It doesn’t have a merge pipe, but adds a crash bar.

Looking at this kit and seeing how this is the every day price and appears to have more materials than what the Stinger needs (I know it says “sale price” here) I would put my money on our release price being about $1k-$1050

$999.95 would be perfect

@Mishimoto Any chance of getting a special invoice link to pay for this with two different cards?

Yup! The piping merger section is included with our kit.

Also, here's a peek at an actual photo of everything included in the kit:

Link is coming in the morning tomorrow!

Thanks,

Any info on how long the typical DIY installation takes? Any tips on the install and are there any special tools required/helpful to use?

Hey Guys!

Some of you already beat me to the punch while I was making some final adjustments, but it's officially official, the presale is here!

2018+ Kia Stinger GT 3.3T Performance Intercooler

Make sure that you get in on the sale ASAP! There's no limit on the presale slots, but this pricing will only be around for a limited time!

Feel free to shoot over any questions that you might have!

Thanks, very good vid with complete tools list too boot! So, I don't think I'd be able/willing to take on a DIY install project for this fmic kit. I think I was lucky with what I went with - it was intimidating enough, but in the end I think I used 3 tools and it went smoothly.

They won't ship to my location
They say the box is too large :(

Leaning toward the black version for aesthetic reasons. Does anyone have any opinions on the durability of Mishimoto's powder coating to withstand rock chips?
