3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

I think its just the tailpipe that is capped at the end inside the muffler housing. Maybe it was done to lower the volume of the mufflers themselves. Since they wanted a civilized note. So I will just drill out the cap
did you get around to drilling it out? just curious. My exhaust is already at the destination city for the new owner, so it's a moot point for me.

I did not, but it is definitely in the plans in the near future. Two of my 4 sons have required hospitalization recently. One for low blood nsugar which resulted in passing out, a broken nose, a concussion and surgery to fix said nose. The other has high blood sugar which required 4 days in Children's hospital and now constant attention to carbs, sugars calories and insulin. He is now Type 1 diabetic.
Back to the exhaust, Ollie has a lead on a version which is basically a preGPF (cat) version similar to the US 2wd model coming in soon for development. It shouldnt be long now

Sorry about your boys!

They told me that it is functional, but almost all of the gases are bypassed to the outside pipe, this inside pipe is used to control drone

I don't see how a sealed-off pipe is functional, but ok.

Got the information from Ollie today that it looks like production is about to commence
Sweet! I'm guessing it'll be shipped out in the order it was received. If that's the case I'm number 2, can't wait!

Wanted to give me $0.02 on the gen 1 cat back system. My impression is pretty much in line with everyone else's experience. It is MUCH deeper than comes through on the cell phone videos. Those frequencies clearly are not picked up by the microphones on those mobile devices. It truly is an excellent sound if you want your car to not sound like a 93 civic but closer to a more respectable sound. From a loudness perspective, it is noticeably louder but not nearly like a mustang GT with modified exhaust. Cold start is loud, accelerating into and around 2500 RPM's is the loudest. WOT there is a difference, but it isn't loud just different.

The 2500-ish loudness is what I think is drone. My exhaust guy really didn't seem to have much input other than he installed it and his work is done. I feel as though I need the tips much like everyone else. I will get those ordered and installed in a few weeks and see if that doesn't improve the low RPM resonance. All in all, VERY pleased with it.

Oh, and if anyone has a direct link to the oval exhaust tips that aren't the stainless ones, I would much appreciate it. I can easily find the round ones, but not the oval akrapovic knock offs. My eyes cross anytime I try to find it on AliExpress. :-)

Yep those SKStinger linked are the ones I got, Matt size A. Took about 2 1/2 weeks for delivery. Check and make sure you get the correct inlet size. My Quicksilver muffler tips are 2.375 which would be 60MM inlet but yours could be different.

@SnowyGT2 When I look at that order page, there are two 60mm sizes offered: 105mm and 115mm. I don't see a size A. Do you know if yours equates to the 105 or the 115?

@twn2rbo any news on the valved exhaust? Is there any potential for a launch with a good price? I'd be willing to be their European based test subject also if needed :) ...

You want the 105mm. 115 is too big.

Yes SKStinger is correct.

It looks like the same product but only offered in Glossy.

Can they be slid further in on the tips? I would prefer not to stick out of the bumper much. I have the scar on my leg from other aftermarket exhausts that stuck out, so now I'm a bit picky!
