What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

I put the car through it's paces today. Took it up on the Back of the Dragon in Virginia and then I took on a road that is near the Back of the Dragon only it's WAY more sketchy and no rails on the sides of roads haha.

It's great having a dashcam that can record all my trips. I think I got good audio of the exhaust and the intakes ripping through these roads. Almost added a deer to the front of my car to go with the 12,485 dead flies.

Nice video. Too bad it doesn't show the speed.

I think that might have been intentional? After all, this isn't a track lol

the stingers "sports(?)" seats is the wides ones i've had.

Previously i've had Seat Cupra 280, seat was "so tiny" (compared to stinger) that i got a nerve damage when i almost for 2 years weekly travel for work like 370 km one way.

EDIT: also, a fun "note", when i was 12 i was around 180 cm, 14 around 194cm. :D Passed 200cm before 18 y.o.

For americans: at 12 i was 2,088 washing machines tall, at 14 2,24 washing machines tall, and i passed 2,31 washing machines before i turned 18 y.o. assuming one standard height if washing machines is 34 inches.
I actually ordered a Leon Cupra 300 estate before I bought my Stinger (they messed up the Leon at factory, wrong extras etc) and that was my absolute limit in terms of interior space and actually already with that my sitting position was far from optimal compared to the Stinger, so I cannot imagine how someone with another 9cm of height could fit in there, seems absolutely insane.

I had a very similar growth spurt, my height stuck at 198cm at 15 and stopped growing after that.

And being at that latitude the extra elevation means you'd probably be continually dusting snow out of your hair.:laugh:

Honestly, our bodies are not meant for sedans, my friends constantly make fun of me that something like a Jeep Trackhawk would be much suitable for my 135kg frame rather than a very-close-to-the-ground Stinger.
I did look at a Cupra Ateca after my Leon was messed up and absolutely loved the way it sits etc but I did not want to wait another 4 months for it to come from the factory..

I had the non-cupra version of ateca for a few months until i quit my last job and started my own company, then i had a volvo v70 classic (last model) for a few months before i got the stinger, closing up on 1 year in a few months

I hear you! Im only 6'2" and 96kg and i have to fall out of my lowered Stinger. Tip use the handle above the door and don't park to close to the kerb.

Just one thing to note, the hose clamps provided are too small you'll have to buy two large worm hose clamps.

I dont understand, i have the front bar sitting in my garage waiting to be installed and the instructions show the first step is to remove the front underbody panel. It doesn't look like you can even access the bushings without its removal, or drop the bar without doing that. Am I missing something?

6'3", I hook an elbow on the B pillar and my right hand uses the steering wheel for leverage; left foot goes on the ground, right foot pushes off the floor mat.

Yes ive used that technique but i get out the other side.lol.

Sorry yes you do have to drop the guard underneath. Lost my head there. Splash guard very easy both on and off it's like 4 bolts and probably 6 or 8 clips. It has a centre plastic bolt that holds it in place so it's very easy to put back. Sorry for the confusion.
