I can keep my car clean in the middle of winter by using a bucket of hot water, right down to just barely above freezing. And if necessary I use a hand held wand wash to get extra grime off first, then I finish up at home. But, I cannot get the undercarriage; and road salt is the killer. How do you wash the underside of your car(s)?
Not the person you asked, but I just watched a detailing video earlier and came across this. If you have a pressure washer definitely worth it.

Where did you buy that material and what did you use to cut it?

The gutter mesh was at Home Depot for $3.69. I have wire cutters at home but they're maybe $10 if you need some. Made a quick outline on some cardboard cut the mesh slightly larger than opening, popped the small pastic keepers with a flathead 5-10mins later job done. Its super easy and a small insurance policy against rock chips.

Definitely going to do that. Thanks.

Yeah from what I've read here..it's an amazing mod :geek:. Did you go with the soft setting all around? Do you notice a considerable difference? Wish I could put the car on springs like you did but living in a snowy climate it's probably not the best idea. Every picture I take of my car, all I see is wheel gap:unsure:. Larger wheels might be in my future..

Simple rock guard install:

This is the first time I've noticed that the holes are different sizes. What is the reasoning behind that?

A member here operated a number of touchless wash facilities and would never put his Stinger through one. The chemicals used are not friendly.

The only thing that's touched my car since the factory is a dedicated wash mitt and clean microfiber towels. The dealer pulled the protective plastic and handed me the keys.
Thank you, food for thought my friend! Reckon I’ll do some research on what sort of ‘wash chemicals’ they use in the laser washes here, because our laser washes come highly recommended! Like RedCal said, not much choice in winter, even though we don’t get below freezing very often, it does get bloody cold here! Anyway, I appreciate the input and advice from everyone, that’s why we’re all here on this forum! Also a good medium to meet good people with an equal love of our cars! Cheers folks!

Thank you sir! Yes I love the look. Cleans it up a bit! I bought the measured and pre-cut vinyl pieces. About 30 min job...super simple. Here's the link if your interested . Search by Vehicle - KIA - 2018 - Stinger GT - Page 1 - Premium Auto Styling

I’ve replaced the rear reflectors with the LED Sequential lights from Sal so I don’t reckon I’ll smoke them out however, I will look into this website you sent me, especially if they are pre-cut to size. Makes the process somewhat easier I imagine.
Cheers Buzz, you’re a legend!

Soooo, I started my car for the first time since the swap. Since everything really. And guess what? Blows oil everywhere. Why? I forgot to put the oil cooler back on. Ok fixed that. Next? Misfire cylinder 6. Lovely, I just changed the plugs too.. Why? Doofus me forgot to plug the coil back in. IMG_20200514_161401.webp

That is a very good question Marlin but for the life of me I have no idea. The drivers side is almost twice as large as the passenger side, why the disparity.

My best guess is the windshield washer reservoir tank may restrict space on the PS, but a little odd why they didn't match them.... who knows the designer??

I've had these on for some time. Perfect fit and easy to apply, just be sure to squeegee all air bubbles out. The site has 25% off at the moment. For the bumper reflectors I just used a piece of black vinyl.

When you find out it may also explain why the grey padding on the underside of the wheel arches is also a different size.

I'm trying to see what you're pointing out, and I am not seeing it. o_O

Here's a related question: is the vent hole bigger on the driver's side of RH drive Stingers?

Hard to see in the 2nd pic so here's another view of RHS. The silver stitched edge padding is about half the size of the piece on the LHS (1st pic)

As for the vent, the LHS is bigger than RHS.
