I placed an order for 2 intercooler sets (for 2 Stingers) and fully paid for it more than 2 months ago. The delivery was said to be till the end of March... it's almost the middle of May and I do not have these ICs... the contact with AP is very poor - they reply after few days only when I specifically ask them about what's going on with my order - the same reply "soon, soon, soon..."... I am very much disappointed with this company and how they operate - this is the worst order transaction I have ever had in my life.. I was considering the BMS or AP intercooler (at that time the BMS one was in a promo price) and it looks like I made the wrong decision.
I hope they will return the money I paid and it will not take that much long. I have a shop waiting to install some goodies for my Stingers but cannot proceed without the ICs :(
This is just to warn potential buyers...

I start looking for another intercooler....

I hate this type of thing. They take the money then fall off the earth. I hope this gets their attention and the attention of possible other folks who may be saved from the stress of dealing with a poorly run company

yes, I was generally very patient because of possible delays due to the coronavirus outbreak etc. but this takes far too long... and I am waiting with goodies like Velossa Tech BIG MOUTH Ram Air kits etc. to be installed together with the intercoolers...a true nightmare

Sorry to hear. Can confirm I bought a BMS intake kit direct from their eBay store about 2 weeks ago and it actually got to me about 2 days ahead of schedule. So I can recommend BMS right now if shipping is a concern.

yes, bought JB4, intakes and some other stuff from BMS for 2 cars and they are perfect and super fast delivery... just based on some opinions decided to buy (or rather try to buy) AP ICs - my biggest mistake ever...

Might come as a shock to you... but if a business has been closed for 1-2 months.........

Then they hadn’t been making anything...

And therefore all the other orders In Front of yours is still there.

And yes, right now, their customer service would be abysmal... because.... they are literally closed.

With that said, AP is a crappy company... proof of how they ignored multiple customers on the forum for over a year (multiple attempts to get them to fix it) with their CAI (well before the Covid issue).

According to OP they are just giving him the run-around and not specifically stating that though.

Leniency should definitely be considered but if that's the case they should just man up and be honest and say "hey our production/shipping got halted here due to corona so it's taking longer than usual." I would imagine OP would be able to accept that. The dodging of just saying "sorry" a bunch is what would drive me nuts if that is how it's playing out.

File a dispute with your credit card company, or PayPal, depending on how you paid.

yes, you are right - that is why I was so patient but the biggest issue is lack of exact information about your order - they easily took my money... I even received a message some time ago asking whether I was satisfied with the purchase but the point was I had not gotten anything - made me really pissed off :)

Made a wire transfer... hope they will return my money... I cannot think otherwise

yes!

2 days ago I ordered 2 sets of JB4 fuel wire adapters and today got a Fedex notification that they are at the Customs... so this is a totally different level of customer service...

I hear you, though my situation isn't as bad. I ordered just one AP intercooler from Vividracing, they sold me on it because they gave me a big discount, but they also informed me it would be at least 30 days before they restock them (3 weeks ago), so I figure I'll give it another 2-3 weeks before I start bothering them about it. Even so, I worry because they wrote up a custom invoice for me, and it doesn't show up on my "orders" section on their website, so I can't track the progress of it.

Either way, I feel pretty patient for now. I'm sure I'll start getting antsy in a few weeks though.

Always seems to be nothing but bad news from AP, I’ve been talking to them recently about their EVC exhaust, they don’t seem to know anything about it. Asked about the issues with the intakes falling off, apparently no plans to resolve the design issue. Other issues I had with them too but not worth discussing.

I emailed them about an AEM intake and literally asked if they have them in stock as he can grab one physically. He said yes and I placed an order with him. 5 business days later and still no tracking #. Get an email mentioning it being dropshipped and immediate emailed asking if they really had it in stock. Said that when I ordered they did have it, but not anymore and will be another 3-5 weeks. I asked to cancel and they said it'll be a 25% restocking fee from the manufacturer and they can't do anything which is ridiculous. Ill most likely be doing a charge back. Waste of my time.

Their products also suck
I suggest you look for another manufacturer.

They informed me yesterday that they would have ICs in stock around the 15th (I hope this month ;) ) . I gave them one more chance because anyway a wire transfer fee cost me $50 and I will have to pay the same for the return transfer... it means that if everything goes well then I will receive the goods around 3 or more months after placing an order - the worst purchase experience ever.!

Hot damn! What a horrible experience! I'm sorry.

For what it's worth, I did order my AEM intake from Vividracing several months ago, and I ran into the same thing. They gave me a discount, said they had it in stock, ordered, the next day I get an email saying it's actually not in stock. Lol. I waited a few weeks and then suddenly I get an email confirming a tracking number. Hopefully the same goes for this. We will see.

Anyway, I hope their intercooler doesn't suck. It seems to be the best option, in terms of dimensions, and the end tanks look really nice. I'm just tired of waiting for Mishimoto, and I wasn't impressed with their "gains" despite all new and improved charge piping.

yes, it is enough for me - I am not planning to exceed 500HP ;)
