• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

GTA Stingers

Hi Guys,
new to the forum and will be getting my 19 GT Limited AWD in April. Just curious what you guys have for exhaust debating Borla, ARK, MBRP..
Had BORLA on my mustang and loved it. Also going to do JB4 and CAI. Also will install EIBACH F & R sway bars and springs.
Anyone running 20"s? Just worried about our shitty roads anyone go with different size 19's?
sorry for all the questions, just pumped about the car

thx
Can’t beat MBRP great price, great sound, cdn made. Happy with mine:thumbup:

New owner from Mississauga, howdy!

I am a proud owner of a brand spankin' new 2020 GT Limited, Ghost Grey :)

I always see a particular model of car on the road more often once I own that model. Stinger sightings were rare for me before, but two days of ownership and today I saw two Stingers out in the wild! First one was on 401 west, not sure where. I was coming from Etobicoke, and I was heading west, so there's that. This one was Thunder Grey

The second guy, I also don't remember where, but I was driving this loop: North on Trafalger at Derry, west on Sideroad 15, south on Guelph Line, East on Derry. This one was the same as mine; a Ghost Grey

Here is my baby. Fresh ceramic coating, looks like wet paint!

Welcome! Love that colour. I have the thunder grey, and was gonna get your colour but in 2018 they didnt have it with the red interior. Im waiting to see what the 2021 brings, maybe I'll trade it in..

Love the colour, and welcome we will have to organize a GTA meetup when the current situation improves

Anyone here have MBRP and Borla setup? Just the Catback only. Looking to hear some in person sounds before deciding which one to get. :)

or the Quicksilver... I'm 99% sure its the one I want, but the current situation has put a stop to spending on fun things

Congrats, Eddie Vedder! I don’t live far from you.

I have Borla w K&N for Buklau. I’ll DM you a video I made of the noises. I don’t think our engine naturally sounds that great personally, so any exhaust sounds just OK, not great in the same vein as a V8 Mistangcor Subaru w the rumble. But some noise better than no noise if one wants to turn heads.

London isn't that far and with the current traffic, I could be there in an hour  (JK)

Have you guys noticed like I have this month that without commuting and less highway kms, the start/stop system doesn't kick in when driving around town? I've noticed this all month until I had do a long-distance journey last Sat, and then it started working again.

I suspect the car's brain knows when and when not to activate the feature based on the car's charging system status.

I think it depends on a number of factors including the current charge state of your battery, outside temp, oil temp and if you are wearing seatbelts- amongst other factors.
I trickle charge mine from time to time because the dash cam, in park mode, drains the battery to a safe (for the battery) limit.

A dashcam! Which model do you have, and did you wire it in a way that it stays running even with engine off? Where do you take power from to run it while parked??

I have a blackvue and its power ez which plugs into the obdii port for power.

Saw a very cool Thunder Grey Stinger GT in Mississauga today.

It had an amazing daylight upgrade and nice pink/red trims on the rims. Beautiful!

As someone who has bought and installed dashcam for the last 5 cars I've owned, I can say that I've always spent around $100 to $150 dollars, and I've yet to buy one I did not like. I've bought the following brands: Transcend, Papago, and SanDisk.

Right now I have the Papago wired up and plugged into the usb jack in the rear center console

Did those dashcams run when the engine was off?
