3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

I have started a FB group Kia Stinger Quicksilver equipped exhaust discussion
this will encompass fixes, discount codes, group buy, feedback etc
it may be easier to contact me there as i check it often
and it is easier for me to upload photos etc

Can you direct me to the link for the said Facebook discussion?

Thanks

I would be curious if ruffstuff had the silencer on the passenger side rub up against the underbody opposite of the driveshaft. This would explain the different experience between us and twn2rbo.

When I get the chance, I'll take a closer look. Here's how it looks now from a distance.

It's hard to tell now since we both corrected our own alignment problems.

Got this system and noticed the muffler tips are 2.375 OD so my many sets of 2.5's are too large.

Just put some exhaust wrap around the tip to make up the difference and then tighten it down. Should fit fine.

Got it installed today by a shop near me; they had to due some bending/welding to get it to fit properly so I'm glad I had them do it.

First impressions:

1. It's not as loud as MBRP but its much louder than in the videos and noticeably louder than stock, its mostly the tone that the videos don't convey very well. Super deep, id say a somewhat subdued snarl. If Borla is 10 and stock is 1, id say 4.
2.There is drone but only under 1500 RPM @ heavy load or between 1500-2000 RPM under medium load which would be mostly 90+Kph cruising, which I do barely any of. I'll get some tips eventually to get rid of this hopefully.
3.I need to say again, the tone is the best part! It's not near as rumbly or deep as a V8 but its closer than I assumed from the video.

Very happy overall!

That's weird... I asked about tips and was told to get the 63mm, which is 2.5"...

Been reading through this thread and while I'm a little apprehensive about the fitment issues due to being new to exhaust systems and mods in general, I'm still interested. However, from what I can understand, there is no full system for AWD models? I looked on the site and see 2 full system packages priced completely differently with a 3rd silenced secondary catalyst that is only RWD.

Did someone say supersport super loud exhaust will be available? if so then I am very interested. only if its Borla level of loud. or louder. Oh and also: IMG_20200422_211959.webp

There is only one exhaust system available right now, though word is more are coming. You do have the option to buy the Secondary delete and catback separately. Yes, the Secondary delete is RWD only. That may change in the future. What you are seeing is an pre-order option for the catback, and that lower amount is the deposit required. As mentioned earlier, once they get 10 pre-orders they will make the next run of exhausts, since the previous run was sold out, at a 40% discount. If more systems are ordered, the discount goes up. See post #169.

The key is, and I got this from the Quicksilver owner, these exhausts are not mass produced. They are made by hand in small batches, so when we bought them out, there was nothing left except for several cat deletes. These discounts that twn2rbo negotiated are huge, and even though I had an issue with my install, I still recommend this system.

Has anyone contacted the Quicksilver people to let them know about the fitment issues?

Well, yes. As discussed several times in this thread.

There is now a preorder option on Quicksilver website $250 US down
and there is also a FB group dedicated to discussion and group purchase of these systems, as well as all things related to Quicksilver exhausts

Its probably been discussed, but have you guys removed the floor liners in the trunk? I never realized there literally is NO sound deadening material at all! There is a pretty cavernous area where the spare is; I could see this heavily contributing to the minor drone I have.

I'm going to purchase some material and give it a go.

They pulled out the drawings and patterns the other day. I had asked for other sound options and they obliged by saying they would offer a Supersport and a Supersport plus/which is race car type of sound. That is all the information I have right now. I would assume, that Borla would possibly come in at Supersport or just under, but definately not plus

Great to hear, glad you are happy.
We have a dedicated FB group to the Quicksilver owners as well

Yes please post the clips to YouTube. Either way I'm probably going to be one of those 10 who need to reserve a set, who do I contact about that?
preorder is available on their site
