What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Ok .....19 wireless charging, 360 and rear heated seats I believe.....still awesome....you've got HUD and heated steering right?
HUD yes, heated steering no. didn't come with RWD. Rear heated seats are nice. I live in Cali, so not a lot of freezing temps here but still would have liked all the additions. Oh well, can't really be picky when you buy salvage lol.

I leased a 2020 RWD GT2 in Aurora Black (not my first color choice, but necessities prevailed) this week:
MSRP = 51,495
Costco Discount = 3,403
Lease Rebate = 9,500

Kudos to the dealership for fast processing. I received my KMF account within two days and I mailed my buyout check today.

Great deal. Which dealer did you work with to get this price?

Yeah that's pretty solid. Didn't know you could get Costco Discount.

The dealership is Capitol Kia in San Jose. Not every dealer has an agreement with Costco. You have to go to Costco's Auto Program website and enter your information, including your membership number. Then the website lets you know which closest dealership has an agreement with Costco. But the dealer might not have the trim level you want in stock. And if you want to know the Costco price, you need to physically go into the dealership to get the printout.

Hey everyone. Just bought a new 2019 Stinger GT2 RWD yesterday with 13 miles on it. Pearl white with red interior. I just couldn’t pass up the deal they made me. $38,812 plus tax ($2,561) and title/tag ($38). No trade in. Did 60 months finance at 2.34%. Loving the car so far.

One of these? CONGRATULATIONS!

Alright guys, lets see how I did. I just traded my 2018 Premium 2.0 RWD with 14,900 miles for a 2020 Ceramic Silver GT1 AWD at Tri-City Kia in Eden NC.
For my trade I owed 26,727 and they gave me 24,900 which is better than what Carvana was going to give me.
MSRP 49,240
Dealer Disc. -4,030
Selling Price 45,210
24 month lease rebate -8,400
Kia Loyalty Rebate -1,500
Total before taxes, fees, neg equity 35,310
Dealer Proc. fee +499
Taxes +1524.04
Lease acquisition fee +650
Tag Transfer fee +18
Negative Equity +1827.12
Total cost 39,828.16‬
All I put down was the first month's payment, and I feel like that is pretty good for a 2020 GT1 AWD that I rolled over some negative equity into. I could hardly buy a used 2018 with low miles or a new 2019 for much cheaper I think once I buy out the lease. I also got free window tint because apparently the dealer they got the car from for me had already done that. Now I just need to see who has the best interest rates to buy out the lease!

I thought I had a good deal but after reading the most recent 30 pages of this thread I'm having second thoughts. I can get out of this deal so feel free to be honest. How did I do:

2018 GT RWD with 22,600 miles on it for $28,000 selling price / $30,010 out the door.

- drivers assistance safety package
- this is not a CPO vehicle
- micro blue
- single previous owner on lease

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a stinger. Dealer offer is 40,600 before our lovely California tax and licenses for a 2020 GT1. How does that seem? This includes the incentives for financing a bit of it and the competitive 1500 for switching form Subaru.

Without an MSRP it is tough to judge how much they are discounting the car. Bottom line is whether you are happy with the deal. There are many factors that influence what a dealer will want to sell a car for, like how long it has been on the lot, manufacturer's incentives, and perceived demand for the car. I bought a "new" 2019 with a build date of May 2019 and 42 miles on the odometer. It had probably been around for a while and the dealer wanted to unload it. This was perfect timing for me because it was a color I wanted, panthera metal, with the light gray upholstery package that pleased my wife. The car, a GT2, was advertised on Autotrader for under $40K, and after a few emails, they sent me an estimated offer of under $44K out the door. The dealer was in Ontario CA, about 85 miles from home, and we jumped on the deal and drove out that weekend and took delivery.
Things you need to be concerned with is whether the dealer is not front-loading the price with overpriced add-ons, like paint protection packages, tinted windows, theft deterrent systems, etc., in which case there would be a dealer window sticker with the additional items. Personally, I insist on starting with the MSRP and tell them up front I have no interest in add-ons of any kind. When I bought my Stinger, I asked for an out-the-door price with all costs itemized - tax & registration should be about it for a Stinger GT as equipped. Get it as an email or in writing, otherwise you do not have a legitimate offer. You can then go to your closest preferred dealer and see if they will do any better or at least match the deal. In our case, the local dealers did not have a car like the one we got the offer on, a 2019 gray GT2, so I figured the best deal was to make the drive and get the one that was on the lot in Ontario. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply.

MSRP 47,001
-2000 dealer discount
-1500 kia competative incentive
-3000 financing a little of it (rate was not bad)

I don't recall exact number have them written down at home, but it was $45,000 out the door.

The color cermic silver has proved very hard to find. It seems like a decent price.

The right color is important to me, and I would be willing to pay a few bucks more to get the color I want, all else being equal. A good estimate is to take the price of the car and add about 10% to cover tax, license and registration. If you live in a low sales tax city, ie: in Thousand Oaks our sales tax rate is 7.25%, you may save a little more. The tax rate you will have to pay depends upon where your car is registered, so I got the 7.25% even though I bought the car in Ontario which may have a different sales tax rate. It appears you are getting $6K to $7K off of MSRP, which sounds good for a 2020, although I would expect a better deal on a 2019 if the same car is available. This may not the case, however, for a silver one.

Maybe things have changed, but I bought my GT2 3 months ago and paid $37k plus taxes (also in California) through the lease buyout. And I recall others paying about the same at the time (i.e. this wasn't an incredible unicorn deal).

$40.6k plus taxes for a GT1 doesn't seem right.

I remember last year my dealer wanted something like $45k for a GT2. I now have one sitting in my garage for $14k. Granted it will need at least another $14k to fix it up lol. And i pay less tax on it :)

I have been subscribed to your re-build thread since you posted it. I wish I had the skills to do what you're attempting!
