PRESSERtech Kia Stinger GT Dyno RESULTS!!

Yes I agree ☝️ this makes sense indeed, as the Borla I believe release a quick air flow then with cats gone it has even less back pressure on it :)
Just to be clear, you do have your primary cats? You did not remove those? Only swapped out your midpipes?

19+ psi boost this morning

Is anybody else using the PRESSERTech Stage 2 tune with similar mods?

Specifically, stock primaries - secondary downpipes - catback exhaust - intake?

@Arnie War - if you still have stock primaries there is no reason for your car to be overboosting. I'll be interested to see what Scott and/or Todd say. Thanks for keeping us updated so far!

Mine has CAI , FMIC , Jun BL down pipes, Borla Cat back exhaust plus 2 degree colder plugs :) this is what I have for engine performance mods :)

how much did this stage 2 increase boost that it would now be overboosting? Maybe you have a leak somewhere past the primary cat to the muffler. I wouldn't think that backpressure is much of an issue on a turbo car as it is on an NA.

It's the tune and the cold temps.
Tons of people running 19 psi with no secondary cats on piggies and ecu tunes.

Guys I just talked with Scott at pressertech cuz we were going over some of my boost numbers, since I am close I agreed to work with my car.

we are all on different pages, the just got off phone with Arnie’s performance shop and his shop confirmed he is 100% catless, no cats at all!
The lack of back pressure is keeping the stock turbos from creating the requested boost and it’s going into limp mode. There is nothing wrong with the tune, it was created with the assumption of secondary cat deletes only!

now we are all on same page, lol

My primary are still on the JUN BL only removes the secondary cat s and if you remove the primary cats are infact still on :)

Arnie this is just me but I would add your primary downpipes back and leave your midpipes. Changing out midpipes back to stock may do it but I don’t know.

your only other option is to mess with your wastegate (will cost performance) or turbos...both of which I would not touch.

Just talked to Classified Motorsports and they said yes I know you only have the secondary cats removed, primary cats are still on my car and the shop is calling back Pressertech to clear up that fact :)

The only reason I have said anything is for Stinger owner s to keep their cats on or keep the OEM muffler s on if the secondary cats are removed , it seems that to much back pressure is lost with still using the OEM Turbos and John from TOrk said too put my secondary cat’s back on :) this is because my Borla exhaust with the Jun BL secondary down pipes allow s to much back Pressure to be lost when push hard quickly :)

@TorkMe really? That doesn't sound like a John statement. He may have said that to get around piggy back issues but he would say with a "proper tune" you can go totally catless. :)

When did you talk to John about this? He has no idea what you are talking about.
