What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

I detailed the car with Meguiar's new Ceramic Quick Coat. I dig the results.

Then I took some shots with my new drone.

Take it to a shop that fixes wheels for a living. Google it in your area you might even have a guy that’s set up mobile and will come to you. These guys are very good at what they do. This is what mine looked like and now you can’t tell even if you used a magnifying glass. Not the best picture but you can see I gave it a good one.

I am fortunate the wheel guy is just a few blocks from me so I dropped in off at 7:30am walked home had a bite watched the news then headed back at 10:30 gave him $150 cash and drove away. My Global Warranty which my dealer threw in should cover it. Best part.....you can’t tell it happened.

That is so wrong! How can you stand driving around with rashed rims??? I can't stand any damage for longer than it takes me to touch it up. I have the black paint, matte and high gloss, in the car at all times. (and when I was sanding down the bare alloy - prior to powder coat - I would attend to that the instant I got home after hearing that *scriiitch* sound.

Yeah I know it looks ugly. And I do get OCD sometimes but I also know that there's a chance that I could end up curb rashing again especially since it's a boat compared to my last car. And to be frank, I did curb rash my last car, a compact car, a few times.

I did take the warranty on the rims too !! so you telling me you had that mobile guy came to fix it and you can use the KIA warranty to cover the cost??

I didn’t use a mobile guy I used a shop called Renewz wheel repair. I submitted a note, pictures, and the receipt for the wheel repair ( can’t seem to find the receipt for the tire puncture) yesterday morning 9:30 ish to Global Warranty. I received a reply at 11:36 stating my claim was accepted the cheque for the wheel repair will be in the mail shortly and that when I locate the puncture receipt to send it along. Very civilized if I do say so myself. Global will be aware of the legit repairers in your area so ask around pick a good one get your scraps fix and put a smile back on. Cheers.

that is great to hear !! How many times can you file a claim ? can you file one claim on two rims ? (asking for a friend )

Tell your friend yes. 1 rim 2,3 or 4 one claim. And if you do it again...like in my case...just file a new claim.

I opted for the “stinger” nameplate & installed it my self! I live in the Boston Ma. Area so I’ll have to wait until spring to swap out the rear KIA Badge for the Stinger Script!

Nice! - I was going to do it myself, but I didn't want to wait, and the shop charged me $40 for both - I don't think it would have cost me at least $20 for the supplies alone!

Got the wheels powder coated on Friday. . . thrilled with the result. . . then did a bit of wash, detail, polish, and ceramic spray wax on Saturday. I did not get the best photos in the best lighting, but the center caps are painted gloss black to match. Cant powder coat the plastic (baking temp). . .
I will try to get better pictures sometime. . .

I see the photo that you must be looking at. . . in that light, that center cap looks very much like it hasnt been painted. I can attest they are. . . still happy. . .
