Just egoStill trying to get use to the pushing park instead of switching to it but time to time after reversing or parking I will turn the car off before shifting to park. Although it puts it in park for me does that damage anything?
I still remember the first time I drove my wifes Jeep.
I had been driving the Stinger for 3 months. I got so used to just shutting the car off with the button. We pull into a spot and I shut the Jeep off. I get out and my wife starts screaming. I'm thinking "What on earth now?". I turn around, no Jeep. She's in the passenger seat screaming and the damn Jeep is rolling through the parking lot. Didn't make it but a spot or two but man talk about a rush!
Anyhoo, shut the Stinger off and get out. Don't do that in any other vehicle though.
Clearly you have a GT2. The GT and GT1 have a real (old school) shifter. The more I read about the differences with shift by wire, the more glad I am that I have the "T".Still trying to get use to the pushing park instead of switching to it but time to time after reversing or parking I will turn the car off before shifting to park. I have my doors set to unlock when it switches to park, however, if I shut the car off with the button, they won't unlock. I have to hit the park button for it to happen.
