What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Wow, that seems like one heck of a deal.

Can someone explain to me why the Kia Stinger is getting such heavy discounts? Are they not selling well or do they depreciate a ton?
I’m betting the dealership ordered far too many and is panicking trying to at least get their money back, before the 2020s show up of which I’m sure once again, they ordered too many. Also, the Black and White Stinger customers get an extra $3K off if financed through Kia right now. They did when I bought my Red one but I didn’t want a black or white one

Where did you find the information for $3k off on black or white? I went to the Kia website and it didn't list any such information when I put in my zip code.

That’s because when I went to the dealership, they showed me which vehicles qualified for the additional rebate. It May have been the specific dealership and a deal they had with Kia if financed through Kia, where some or all of that $3K would go back to the dealership for selling and financing with Kia.

Interesting, so there are even more rebates or incentives that the Kia website doesn't list and the only way to find that out is for a Kia dealership to be open and honest? I would think a salesman would want to hide that so he could pocket that $3k. I'm learning more and more.

i was mad when I went to the dealership initially to find they actually didn’t have a Red Base GT (not GT1 or GT2) when they told me they did. I was actually going to leave when they told me I could get a GT1 for like $4K more and when I saw all the additional features, I was sold on the GT1 after test drive. No regrets or looking back. I actually left the first night I went there because they wouldn’t budge on dropping the $799 destination charge. The GM emailed me the next day apologizing, reassigned me a new dealer and said “we can make the deal and drop that charge.” I was going to put em on blast if they didn’t (but they didn’t know that). They were pushing all the white and black ones hard due to how many they had.

Im having a hard time believing this is a GT2 and in California of all places.
I believe it. I got an offer, coincidentally also cap with a cap cost of 37.9K on a GT2 AWD w 54.5K MSRP. OTD was 39.7K.

I wanted to more aggressive that what I got, so I'm still shopping around. 35K cap cost feels like a possibility though not a lot of dealers are biting on it. I'd gotten several offers if 37K was my goal.

Last month picked up my new fully loaded GTS $36,995 OTD I am in Indianapolis but got the car up towards Chicago

How does this lease offer sheet look on a 2019 GT2 AWD? Money factor of .00192 and residual of 52%. They said Virginia mandates them for $799 processing fee.

What would my number look like if I bought out the lease. I don't understand leasing enough. Sorry for the newbie question.

Koons Kia! I f’in bought my car from them and they really dicked me around post sale. That doesn’t look like a bad price but they’re liars. I walked and they waived the $799 fee. They still put it on there but they removed it from the sale price of the vehicle. Tell them your friend just bought a vehicle there 2019 Red GT1 and worked with Jonathon Hernandez and my finance guy was Ramon. They can move money around to remove that $799. To be honest, they probably will have the best price in the area but they will not give a f*** about you post-sale. Just forewarning if that’s where you’re considering buying.

It is Koons Kia in Woodbridge. What was your deal?

They have a lot of 2019s on the lot compared to where I live in Maryland.

My apologies. They waived the destination fee and it was only $500 of it. My bad. I bought (not leased) mine for $37850 so your price is good but I noticed they’re only allowing 10,000 miles per year...will that be an issue for you? Seems ridiculously low. Also, that payment per month is a lot! Are lease payments normally that high? I keep vehicles so I hate leases but resale on any Kia vehicle is trash so I get the point of leasing one. Same reason I get the point of leasing any German luxury car. I hope you didn’t get the Russian gal as your salesperson. I had to switch to Jonathon. He actually listened to me.

True. If I could have done it over again I would have picked up the only one they had available at Temple Hills Kia in MD. They have an amazing service department in terms of quality and customer service.

I didn't buy. I left the dealership and told the guy I was working with (Thomas) to call me after I left it they will knock another $500 off. I asked for another $1k off the sale so I would be at $37k but their finance manager told them no.

If I was financing they would only come down to $43k sale price. But I stopped negotiating on financing and then started negotiating on leasing.

I wonder if it was the british guy with glasses. He’s a bit of a prick. He got moody with me when I asked for money off. “Oh we are the only volume dealer in the area and we already have the lowest guaranteed prices.” Yep, and you have the chance to sell a $40k car to a customer with cash and you’re willing to let me go for $500? “Yes, I’m sorry but we can’t give you the extra $500.” Ok I’m leaving then. Thank you. He turned around and walked away immediately. I said, “wow, you’re a classy one aren’t you.” Listen I get I’m not the easiest person to deal with but he was a jerk to start with. I wrote an email to the GM and told him my whole experience. The next day I get an email,”oh we talked to Kia and they’ve agreed to cover the $500 discount so you can have the car you want.” I called him and said, that’s fine but I need a new dealer and I don’t want to even see the British guy. Per my request, all of that happened. It was great. I somehow felt justified in that moment. I bought the car obviously. It got worse after the sale but I won’t go into that here. You can message me if you want the deets lol

No, it wasn't him. Thanks for all the info. So you got the GT1. Maybe my GT2 deal at $38k is good? I'm just unsure what the lease buyout cost is. I think it has something to do with total of lease payments and the residual value (and a purchase option fee?)?

I don't mean to jump on the Koons is sh*t bandwagon but I would seriously look elsewhere. Yes, they have the best listed prices listed in the area but they make up for it on the back end. There are other threads about this dealership. I bought my 2019 Stinger GT from King Kia last month in MD and had a great experience. Also, the processing fee in MD is cheaper, I would keep looking.

Unfortunately, I don't have much time to look elsewhere. I'm leaving town in a few hours and won't be back until Sunday. Then I go right back to work. So all I'd have is Sunday to Tuesday next week to look before the end of the year. I was trying to get a good end of the year deal.

I did notice when I test drove a Genesis G70 at Bowie Hyundai that the processing fee was $300.

The Genesis is a nice car but if it’s more sport vs luxury you want I would stick with the Stinger. If it’s more luxury than sport, the Genesis. Either are very nice. Also, I’m pretty sure the Genesis isn’t a hatch back so it’s probably a quieter and smoother drive as well. I may be wrong there. Go with your heart and gut first

Would you recommend buying from them if all I'm looking for is the best price? They keep calling me every day about my GT2 inquiry. They are about 4 hours from where I live, so I wouldn't require service from them. Buy, drive off and that's the end of the interaction with them (hopefully).
