• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Agree but with the awd I almost wouldn’t mind a cheaper tire for winter, what I’m saying is at that price who cares lol maybe I’m just being a tight a$$ lol

AWD doesn't help with braking or turning. Don't scrimp on tires.

Hey Ya'll,
New here, in Bowmanville.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
They found 18" Steel Rims and are putting on Ovation winter tires.. I considered it, but decided not too, even though things are tight now, Christmas shopping, and buying a new car outside my original budget :-)
Ovations are cheaper brand for sure and stopping power is not great... see link I found.

Ovations are very low on the list in order. I'm going with these cool rims and putting Nexen Winguard Sport 2's 235/45/18 all around.. they are very high in test results, beating out many many top brand/models... So cheaper and a great choice ! I actually hate the tread pattern, but the results speak volumes, so I'm going with them. I never like too too v-shape directional tires..

Sorry the one you are going with in the picture. Those are nice :)

I don't know. He sent me few pics of options and good price, so I selected these. I've emailed him asking for the brand/link yesterday, and waiting for reply. I usually like to know the specs of things I order, cause I requested they be decent quality and on the lighter side (in hopes for my every so slightly better fuel economy). Haha.. I don't need to be putting on really heavy rims... He claimed they should be approx 19lbs..
I'll send the link, so as I get it.
Oh, the rim shows ope on the center piece, but I can't find a brand named ope in google ?

oh, I do see they are Flow formed, which is suppose to be stronger than cast rims, but they still can be a bit brittle, apparently in the center bore.
From what I read, it's really only an issue if driven hard in racing, and not likely an issue for regular driving, or even a bit hard that we may do on the streets.
Still waiting for reply on brand webpage.

anywhere in Durham or not to far where folks can go for 1/4 mile runs ?

What does the E symbol stand for ?

I'm still confused ?? is the E for "Ecstatic" ? "Energized" to have a Stinger ? haha

If you haven't gotten any yet ? here's the link, but their website suck with no useful info.
Ovation Tire Canada – Official site

And I found a website where many tires were tested, and this tire was way down the list for it's traction score. It's a cheap alternatives and a few have taken advantage for that. I can't blame them, as costs aren't cheap for this car. But I couldn't trust this tire for myself.
I went with the Nexen Winguard Sport 2, as they have Awesome traction scores and lower price than the usual name brands.

And I still don't know what the "E" symbol stands for ? it's just a Kia thing ? if so, why an E ? Any explanation ?

And the supposedly " K " symbol, looks more like a " L " for Lexus, so I'm never gonna use that one !! Who designs and comes up with this ?!!

Side Note, anyone meeting up for coffee on East half of GTA ? Durham Stingers ?

Last minute, but if weather is good tomorrow (Sunday 19th), I'm meeting Silverghost for coffee at the Timmies off thickson rd. just north of the 401. at 3pm.
Anyone want to join, reply here.
