What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

@Terry@BMS I did one pull with Map2 on 91 octane and I'm hoping you could look at the graph and tell me if the log looks good to you. Only other mod besides JB4 are SSR mids and muffler delete. Honestly the pulls felt sluggish no as over powering as Map1.

I think Terry needs the CSV data, not the graph. Might also want to post this on a jb4 thread - I don't think Terry has the "@" notification turned on, and will probably not see the post here.

Used my lunch break to throw the K&N intakes on. It's nice to properly hear the turbos now.

Also for reasons unbeknownst to me, I'm missing the warning sticker on the passenger side of the car I just noticed. What sticker is supposed to be there? Weird that it's missing on a brand new car..

You mean the sunshade airbag warning?

Nah, the one under the hood (you can see it's missing in that picture). I can't find a clear enough picture of what that's supposed to be on other Stingers.

Probably for the same reason they haven’t put warning stickers on every window stating not to close them on fingers, toes, necks or other body parts or vegetables! Common sense.

Installed the Compustar auto start/ security system with Drone Mobile. Merry Christmas to everyone!:)

Soldered up my ecko04 jb4 fuel wire harnesses to my jb4, reviewed the jb4 installation instructions, etc. in preparation for spark plug swap and jb4 install very soon.

Installed my new plugs and turned jb4 on to map 2. If only the weather was good enough to hit the gas and get on it. Lots of rain here.

Installed my denso plugs (first time doing plugs on the Stinger) - took 2.5-3 hours. Found gaps of 0.024 to 0.032 on OEM plugs (measured 3 or 4 of 'em). Wow, talk about bad quality control. My knees are SO sore from leaning over the car.

I had to try 2 or 3 different ways to access almost every coilpack screw. Long extension, wobble extension, short/small ratchet, box/crescent wrench. Since I read ahead and got the swivel magnetic plug, and had a u-joint, removing/replacing the actual plugs was like 1/4 of the time at most. Getting the coil packs loose and off was SUCH a pain!

I don't remember doing the plugs on my Subaru EJ255/257 being any worse.. Maybe there is some truth to Subaru keeping backyard mechanics in mind when they design their cars. This could have been SO much easier if the coilpack screws had been moved over like 1/4 to 1/2 an inch in the right direction. Seriously, a small adjustment to the hardest screws could easily knock 30-40% off the time.

Started the car up, idled for 2-3 minutes, revved to 2500-3000 a couple of times, idle started dropping to under 1000, seemed totally smooth, no CELs, so I'm hoping it's all good. jb4 goes in tomorrow, and maybe DIY intakes as well..

What year is your Stinger?
Is there a thread or YouTube video of the tools required to do the plugs!

Washed it.

I am back on stock wheels with winter tires.
Feels weird to go from 18 lbs wheels to heavy stock wheels.

I found the plugs very easy to change with two swivels, a std 3/8 and 6in ext

Then I guess we have different definitions of the phrase "very easy". I did plugs on my Chrysler V6 minivan - now THAT was easy. Out of the 6 coilpack screws, only ONE was easy to get to. The others, had to push against connectors, push this out of the way, jam a box wrench into a tight spot, etc..

As I said - the plugs themselves, with the magnetic swivel socket, were a piece of cake. It's the coilpack screws that seem to be intentionally designed to make them hard to access..
